Today, I'm excited to tell you all about the hotel we stayed at in Dubrovnik, Croatia –

Hotel More!

This hotel is famous for its unique natural cave bar,

connected directly to its basement!

Dubrovnik, with its absolutely stunning sea,

boasts a plethora of resorts with breathtaking ocean views.

However, the better the view, the more the prices tend to skyrocket,

making the search for accommodation quite a thoughtful process.

After much deliberation, we finally chose a place that offered

fantastic facilities and a superb location for the price.

So, let me share our review of Hotel More with you!

Must-Visit Spots in Dubrovnik

Before I dive into the hotel review,

Dubrovnik, nestled on the Adriatic coast,

is renowned for its Old City, encircled by magnificent ancient walls.

It's a truly famous destination.

It's also famously known as a filming location for Game of Thrones,

making it an absolute must-see on any Croatian itinerary.

The sight of the orange rooftops and the breathtaking sea views as you walk along the city walls at sunset

often comes back to me, even long after our trip.

With its incredibly beautiful sea colors,

on a sunny day,

you'll feel pure bliss just swimming all day in the sea right in front of the resort.

Even if you're not a swimmer, simply relaxing on a sunbed

was healing in itself.

The hotel is conveniently located just a 30-minute drive from Dubrovnik Airport

and a 15-minute drive from Dubrovnik Ferry Terminal.

You can reach it easily by car.

We arrived in Dubrovnik via ferry from Hvar Island,

and then took an Uber from the port to check into the hotel.

Even though there were quite a few people, we managed to get an Uber surprisingly quickly,

so getting to the hotel was no problem at all.

✔️ How to Get to the Old City from Hotel More

To get to the Old City, you can easily take the bus.

Please refer to the location below for the bus stop.

You'll need to walk about 10 minutes along the beach promenade from the resort

and then you can purchase your ticket at the bus stop and ride to your destination.

If you purchase the Dubrovnik Pass, bus rides are free,

so make sure to check the pass activation time (24 hours)

to save on transportation costs to the Old City.

From the bus stop, it only takes about 10 minutes

to reach the Old City.

Exterior

Here's the stunning coastline viewed from Hotel More's lobby.

It's truly magnificent!

When you arrive at the hotel,

you enter through the very top floor.

Heading downstairs will lead you directly to the coastal promenade.

Right in front of the hotel, you'll find a private beach.

Lobby

There were quite a few stairs from the taxi to the lobby,

but if you ring the bell right in front,

the concierge immediately comes to help with your luggage, making it easy to get around.

We didn't use it ourselves, but

there was also a bar where you could order simple drinks.

It looked like a great spot to enjoy coffee or cocktails,

savoring the ocean view.

Classic Double Room with Balcony

We booked a Classic Double Room with Balcony,

and we were pleasantly surprised that the terrace offered views of both the pool and the sea.

It was much better than we expected!

✔️ The bedding was luxurious and super comfortable.

✔️ The wardrobe was spacious,

✔️ and the refrigerator was quite large, which was a big plus.

✔️ There was also a coffee machine,

✔️ and they refilled a complimentary bottle of mineral water every single day.

I thought the welcome chocolate was a one-time thing,

but they gave us one every day,

so I happily took a bite as soon as I entered the room each time!

The Bathroom

The bathroom was entirely finished in marble,

giving it a truly luxurious feel.

The bathtub was also large, perfect for a relaxing soak.

Plus, a bonus!

Since you're likely to be swimming quite often

on a trip to Croatia,

you'll need to dry your swimsuit every day.

It was incredibly convenient to have an electric drying rack,

making it easy to dry clothes right after a swim.

(Though I totally forgot my swimsuit... oops!)

Breakfast

Next up: the breakfast that truly impressed us!

First off, the view was absolutely stunning – a true ocean vista!

You can enjoy breakfast at Hotel More's restaurant,

which operates as a rather upscale restaurant in the evenings.

The terrace tables with sea views are definitely the most sought-after spots!

Instead of going too early in the morning, it's better to go a bit later,

as the sunlight streams in, making it warmer and even more delightful.

Beyond the buffet, there were also

menu items you could order separately,

and they'd cook and bring them right to your table.

With a wide variety of options like fruits, bakery items, and cheeses,

the bakery selections were generally delicious,

and there were so many kinds of fruit that I helped myself to a lot! Haha.

At a neighboring table,

someone was using a Ninja blender right at their table

to make their own fresh smoothie,

and they seemed incredibly pleased with it! LOL.

They also had a wide variety of nuts,

dried fruits, jams, and more to add to your yogurt.

There were also various fresh fruit juices,

and even detox juices, so

even if you're watching your diet, no problem at all❗️

What really caught my eye was the selection of pâtés to spread on bread!

I tried a few different kinds,

and they were all delicious.

The terrace was perfect for sitting back and enjoying some leisurely time.

It felt like I was having brunch at a fancy restaurant,

just by adding breakfast !

It was truly a satisfying breakfast.

If you're staying at Hotel More,

breakfast is an absolute must. I highly recommend it!

Cave Bar & Private Beach

Connecting directly from the hotel's basement, you'll find the natural cave bar and

a private beach.

As a guest,

you can enjoy the private beach and sunbeds for free.

I didn't personally use the Cave Bar, but

the elevator passes right through it,

so I got a glimpse as I went by!

We only used the private beach,

though even external visitors can use the sunbeds for a fee.

When we visited, the waves were quite active,

but there were still plenty of fish, and it was fantastic for swimming.

It seems like Croatians are all excellent swimmers,

as everyone was swimming beyond the ropes, haha!

We, on the other hand, stayed safe? and diligently swam within the designated area, haha!

The incredibly beautiful colors of the Dubrovnik sea!

Just lying on a sunbed felt truly healing.

Gym

Among the amenities, there was also a gym,

which was uniquely designed with wood. Haha!

We were too busy swimming to use it, though.

Hotel More Restaurant

This is the Hotel More Restaurant.

The view is absolutely stunning, so if you're looking for a luxurious dining experience,

this is the place I'd recommend!

Prices for main dishes like fish are around 80-90 Euros,

and pasta is approximately 20 Euros.

Airbnb Recommendation

We stayed at a resort in Dubrovnik, but

it was a bit on the expensive side.

As you might expect from a popular tourist destination,

dining out can be quite expensive.

We didn't realize it when we made our reservation,

but once we got there, we found quite a few great B&Bs,

and if you choose accommodation where you can cook your own meals,

you could definitely save a significant amount on your travel budget!

There's a B&B near the resort where I stayed,

and if you stay here, you'd be close to the resort's beachfront

promenade

and since it's near luxurious resorts, the area is very safe,

so if I ever go back, I'd definitely look for a B&B there!
