Hotel Exterior & Interior

Our flight landed at 10:30 PM,
and by the time we made it to the hotel, it was already 1:00 AM...
Since it was so late, I was a bit worried,
but thankfully, there was a staff member at the front desk!

Hands down the friendliest staff member at this hotel... 🥹
Our luggage was incredibly heavy,
but he carried it up the stairs to the elevator for us,
and kindly told us to call anytime if we needed anything, even though it was late.
Seriously the absolute sweetest guy.

A classic feature of elevators in Turkey and Greece:
they are micro-sized,
making it quite a squeeze for two people and two suitcases! haha
You also have to pull the doors open
and close them manually! 🤣
(Guilty of standing there waiting for it to open automatically every single time!)
Room Condition

The room wasn't particularly cramped,
but you could definitely tell
the hotel has been around for a while!

It had all the basic amenities you'd need.
The hair dryer in our room wasn't working,
so we had to go down and grab a replacement from the front desk. 😭
If yours doesn't work, make sure to let them know!
📌 Note: Complimentary bottled water isn't provided, so make sure to buy some before heading up!

The bathroom/toilet also shows its age a bit, but
it wasn't really uncomfortable at all!
(If you're hunting for a bargain, you gotta embrace the vintage vibes...)

There is only soap and a 2-in-1 hair/body wash!
Since the amenities are pretty basic,
📌 there isn't much else, so if you need anything else,
I highly recommend bringing your own!

But there's a terrace view that makes you forgive all its vintage quirks!
The balcony is on the smaller side, but
sitting out there with a cup of coffee,
you get a direct view of the Acropolis + Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens! 🥹👍
It's no exaggeration to say
I chose this place solely for this view.
Wind down after a busy day with some beer and snacks,
just spacing out and soaking in the view was the absolute best part haha.

An incredible stream of cars heading towards the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens
On weekends, they seem to host weddings at the Cathedral,
so we even got to see the beautiful bride, groom, and their guests!

Even while lying down, you can see the Acropolis twinkling through the window ✨⭐️🌟
So beautiful, seriously 💛

Rooftop Terrace (Breakfast Available)

Breakfast can be added on-site
📌 8 EUR (approx. $9) per person
They said you can just enjoy breakfast and pay
when you check out later!
Cheese, ham, sausage, bacon,
yogurt, cornflakes, cocoa balls,
marmalade, honey,
bread, butter, cake,
coffee, tea, and orange juice
There is a nice variety,
so trying it at least once is a great idea!
First of all, the rooftop terrace view where you eat breakfast is absolutely stunning T_T
Let me show you the photos right below!!!!

The breakfast view from the rooftop terrace
I went up to have breakfast on my last day at the hotel,
but of all days, the breakfast staff member was off duty lmao T_T
They insisted this rarely ever happens,
and kept emphasizing that they happened to take a day off *just today*.
So I guess I was just there for the sightseeing. 😂
But hey, it's pretty, so who cares? Bottoms up~

This is what the terrace looks like.
In this wide-open space,
you can enjoy your breakfast while taking in panoramic views of downtown Athens, the Acropolis, and the Metropolitan Cathedral! 🍽️
Rooftop bars in Athens are incredibly popular,
but staying here means you don't even need to go out—just head right up to this terrace!
Nearby Supermarket

📍 BAZAAR SUPERMARKET
Mitropoleos 45, Athina 105 56 Greece
Since our accommodation was located right in the heart of the city,
it was super close to the supermarket!
It was great because we could grab various snacks and local treats
to bring back as souvenirs!
Since the price was so budget-friendly, the room condition
wasn't ultra-luxurious, but
the location and the view were absolutely incredible.
It was an incredibly satisfying, high-value stay!
