With autumn's arrival, my husband and I, along with my brother-in-law and his wife,
headed to Pyeongchang (평창) for a 2-day, 1-night trip.
It poured rain on our first day,
so we ended up spending most of our time at our accommodation.
This made choosing the right place to stay
incredibly important for our trip!
For this trip, we stayed at
Hotel Around Pyeongchang (호텔어라운드 평창), located within the
Phoenix Park (휘닉스파크) Tourist Complex.
It turned out to be such a warm and cozy place,
we could have happily stayed in all day!
So, let me share my review of the Junior Suite Twin room at
Hotel Around Pyeongchang, our Phoenix Park accommodation
where we happily enjoyed even the autumn rain~
Hotel Around Pyeongchang Features

Hotel Around Pyeongchang, our Phoenix Park Pyeongchang accommodation,
is located within the Phoenix Park Tourist Complex.
It was actually selected as the official accommodation for the press
during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics,
so its convenience is truly outstanding!
Its proximity to Phoenix Park makes it perfect for skiing and snowboarding in winter,
and from spring to autumn, it's an excellent base for exploring the areas around Bongpyeong (봉평) and Pyeongchang.

Blue Canyon Water Park (블루캐니언 워터파크) is also
right by the entrance!
Currently, they operate indoor pools and some outdoor sections.
If you're traveling with kids, Hotel Around Pyeongchang is
absolutely perfect for having easy access to the water park.
Especially on a rainy day, what better play space could kids ask for?
Hotel Around Pyeongchang Amenities

The moment I stepped into the lobby of our
Phoenix Park Pyeongchang accommodation,
with its beautiful interior, it felt more like entering a trendy cafe than a hotel!
It was such a picturesque scene,
I couldn't help but take photos before even thinking about checking in! ^^
There were even board games on every table,
so you could have a blast just hanging out here.

There are so many beautiful spaces
scattered throughout the lobby floor. It truly lives up to its reputation as a Phoenix Park Pyeongchang
accommodation. I spent ages just exploring the lobby!

I initially thought it was just a library,
but it turned out to be a library doubling as a business space.
It's designed for guests to bring laptops and do some light work,
but it's so incredibly cozy that I just wanted to grab a book
and settle in for hours.
What's more, they say there are also well-equipped spaces
for group events, such as conference rooms for corporate workshops or seminars,
and banquet halls.

There's also a brunch cafe on the lobby floor,
offering brunch items like salad and bagel sets.
It seemed like a great option for breakfast too!
They even have free yoga programs available –
you just need to book in advance using a QR code.

There's a convenience store on the B1 level,
which was super handy! We stocked up on drinks, beer, snacks, and more,
then headed straight back to our room!

The parking lot is connected to B1, and
there was plenty of parking space.
Junior Suite Twin

The best thing about our accommodation at
Pyeongchang Phoenix Park (평창 휘닉스파크), Hotel Around Pyeongchang (호텔어라운드 평창),
is the incredible variety of rooms,
offering a broad range of choices depending
on your travel group and purpose.
There are three types: Hotel, Villa, and Terrace,
with over 500 rooms ranging from those
perfect for two to spacious options ideal for family trips!
Bedroom

The room we stayed in this time was
Junior Suite Twin Room 703B.
Since it was a trip with my sister-in-law and her husband,
four adults in total, we paid close attention to the room layout.
This room is divided into two bedrooms with identical layouts.

Each bedroom has a king-size bed,
and a toilet and bathroom are also provided in each.
Having a bathroom within each bedroom
was incredibly convenient, allowing us to use them
without any awkward encounters.

What was unique was that the bedroom doors and walls
were made of glass! Of course, there are blinds,
so when lowered, privacy is perfectly guaranteed.
It was also interesting how the sink and bed
were separated by a large mirror.
The rooms at Hotel Around Pyeongchang
really have a lot of subtle design elements.

The toilet, shower booth, and sink are all separate,
which I found very convenient.
It's a structure that allows you to enjoy the fun of traveling together
while still securing your own personal space.
Living Room and Kitchen

What I loved most was the enormous window.
It offered a direct view of a lush forest!
Watching the autumn leaves slowly change color,
I could really soak in the autumn atmosphere from our room.

It was a hotel, but it had a kitchen!
Though you can't cook in it. It seems they've perfectly
equipped it with amenities, perhaps because it was also used as press accommodation.
It was also refreshing to see a water purifier instead of bottled water~!
Enjoying morning coffee at the dining table while gazing at the clear sky was truly the best.
The living room and kitchen areas were also separated,
making it feel even cozier.
We each had a glass of champagne at the dining table, listening to the rain.
On a rainy autumn night, this cozy Pyeongchang Phoenix Park accommodation
made for an absolutely blissful evening.
Morning Stroll

Phoenix Pyeongchang (휘닉스파크) accommodation, Hotel Around Pyeongchang (호텔어라운드 평창)
Pyeongchang (평창) is in the full swing of autumn foliage.
The air, made even clearer by the overnight rain,
and the more vibrant autumn leaves truly made it feel
like autumn itself.
The scent of autumn surrounded the hotel.
It was a luxury that could only be enjoyed
at Hotel Around Pyeongchang.
Places to Visit in Pyeongchang

Hotel Around Pyeongchang has good accessibility to Seoul (서울),
and is in a great location for exploring
Odaesan Mountain (오대산), Pyeongchang, Bongpyeong (봉평), and more.
So, I made quite a few plans, but unfortunately, it rained...
But the time spent at the accommodation was so wonderful that it was perfectly fine, haha.
Although I couldn't visit Daegwallyeong Sky Ranch (대관령하늘목장), Silverbell Church (실버벨교회),
or Woljeongsa Forest Trail (월정사 숲길),
the next day, I was able to safely ride the Balwangsan Cable Car (발왕산 케이블카).

Almost all major tourist attractions
are within 30 minutes of Hotel Around Pyeongchang, so
it's great for planning your trip and finding delicious local restaurants.
Wrapping Up

The room layout was particularly
satisfying on this trip.
Each bedroom even had its own separate bathroom,
so there was absolutely no inconvenience.
For those traveling with sibling couples like us,
or taking a family trip with parents,
this kind of room structure seems ideal.

While a spacious room is important,
sometimes having separate living spaces for everyone is even more crucial, right?
Even though it rained, it made the Phoenix Pyeongchang accommodation,
Hotel Around Pyeongchang, feel even cozier.
