The exterior and interior of Hophi are beautifully designed around Jeju's signature basalt (volcanic rock), which gives it an authentic, local feel.

The first floor is dedicated to roasting their own beans, while the second floor features large glass windows looking out over the ocean.

Instead of a loud, flashy vibe, it has a very peaceful, slow-paced atmosphere—perfect for travelers looking to unwind.

Personally, I think this is the perfect spot for anyone who wants to hit the brakes and slow down for a moment during their trip.

My husband and I ordered the decaf "D-Blend" and the caffeinated "C-Blend."

If you sit at the bar, you can watch the barista carefully brew your cup using the Nel drip method. The slow, deliberate process is mesmerizing to watch.

However, to be completely honest, the taste fell slightly short of my expectations.

The café advertises their Nel drip as a rich, concentrated brew, but to my palate, it tasted surprisingly smooth and on the lighter side.

If you prefer a heavy-bodied, bold cup, you might find this a bit too mild. I also felt the serving size was slightly smaller than standard hand-drip portions, which was a bit disappointing.

Up on the second floor, you get a wide-open, refreshing view of the sea over Yongdam Coastal Road.

The window seats are highly coveted, so depending on when you visit, you might have to wait for one.

I would have been disappointed if I couldn't get a window view, but the bar counter turned out to be a fantastic alternative. Watching the delicate Nel drip process up close added a whole new level of enjoyment.
