'The ramen looked amazing on that show!'
And guess what? The Aloft Cancun, where we were staying, happened to be right near that famous ramen spot!
So, on our very first day in Cancun, we made a beeline for Hiroya Ramen, the restaurant highlighted on 'Kongkongpangpang'. Here's my honest review for your 2026 visit!

Location & How to Get There |
📍 Hiroya Ramen
Punta Cancun, Hotel Zone, 77500 Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico
Hiroya Ramen is nestled in Cancun's bustling Hotel Zone. The building has a circular layout, and at night, it can feel a bit dark, making you wonder if there are even restaurants inside. But don't be fooled – it's actually a hidden cluster of delicious eateries!

From the main road, look for the STONES HAIR & SPA sign (as seen in the left picture). Head down the path beside it, and you'll find Hiroya Ramen and a Chinese restaurant, as shown on the right.
There's also a Japanese restaurant called Hanaichi on the main road that always seems busy, so it's clear this area is a popular dining hub.
Interior & Exterior |

Hiroya Ramen is situated in an older, single-story building. While many hotels and resorts in Cancun are flashy and modern, you'll find quite a few older buildings like this, especially in the Hotel Zone, which was developed earlier.

The kitchen is located inside, while most of the seating is outdoors. The specific spot where the celebrities sat on 'Kongkongpangpang' was already taken, so we opted for a table against the wall.
Menu |

Once seated, a server will bring the menu. If you're sitting outside, be prepared that it might be a bit challenging to get their attention later, so I recommend placing your order as soon as possible! Service can be a little slow compared to what some might be used to.
Here's what we ordered👇
Blue Crab MISO
Spicy Tuna
Jasmin Tea
Our Meal |

The Spicy Tuna arrived first, accompanied by soy sauce and individual dishes for serving.

This dish features finely chopped tuna and vegetables like green onions, seasoned with a spicy dressing, and served over rice.
Unlike a traditional Kaisendon where the rice might be seasoned with sushi vinegar, this rice is plain, so you can add a touch of soy sauce to your liking.
I'm a big fan of Negitoro, so this was a must-order for me, and it certainly hit the spot! It was a great choice, as ordering two ramens might have been a bit too rich for us.

After indulging in plenty of alcohol and sodas since arriving in the US and then Cancun, we decided to have an alcohol-free day and opted for refreshing Jasmin Tea.

And then came the star of the show, the Blue Crab Miso Ramen, just as it appeared on 'Kongkongpangpang'! The crab was so generously sized, it looked like it was about to spill out of the bowl.

On the show, the celebrities tried both the lobster ramen and the crab ramen. However, ordering both would easily push the bill over ~$64, so we decided to stick with the crab ramen this time.

The broth was incredibly rich and deeply savory, with the distinct flavor and aroma of crab innards truly infused into every spoonful. It felt like the crab was literally swimming in the broth! The noodles themselves were standard ramen noodles, nothing particularly special.
While the broth is incredibly rich, it can be a bit heavy for some. If you're not a fan of overly rich dishes, I highly recommend pairing it with a side like the Spicy Tuna, just like we did!
(Full disclosure: I don't typically eat ramen very often).

Our total bill for two came to 721 Mexican Pesos, which included a 10% service tip of 66 pesos. This converts to approximately ~$38.
~$38 for ramen, you might ask? Well, it's worth noting that Cancun is one of Mexico's most expensive cities, especially in the Hotel Zone. While the price might seem a bit steep for ramen, it was a truly satisfying meal! If your hotel is nearby, I definitely recommend checking it out.
That concludes my review of Hiroya Ramen, the famous crab and lobster ramen spot in Cancun, visited by Do Kyung-soo, Lee Kwang-soo, and Kim Woo-bin on 'Kongkongpangpang'!
