Planning a Gyeongju getaway? The Hilton Gyeongju, recently renovated in 2025, offers pristine rooms and an amazing family pool. Find out why it's a top pick for 2026 staycations!

The Hilton Gyeongju has a bit of an older feel, but the rooms are meticulously maintained and super clean. Plus, with its incredibly satisfying pool, it’s still considered one of the top summer staycation spots in Gyeongju! For those wondering, "Is it really worth visiting a slightly older hotel right now?", "What's a reasonable deal for a package with the pool and breakfast?", or "Is it actually great for a family summer trip with kids?"—I’ve brewed up this post just for you.
The Hilton Gyeongju became even better after its recent renovations! Of course, pool hotel prices in Gyeongju inevitably spike during peak season. But if you snag a great deal, you’ll get to experience the classic, timeless charm of the Hilton!

1. Is Hilton Gyeongju Worth the Visit?

Even though there are plenty of brand-new hotels popping up in Gyeongju, the Hilton Gyeongju remains the very first 5-star property that comes to mind. It’s always my go-to booking whenever I head to Gyeongju. In fact, my friend who recently traveled with their kid also raved that the Hilton Gyeongju was their absolute favorite stay. And of course, I completely agree!
Thanks to its prime location right in front of Bomun Lake,
the fantastic "Eureka" pool that's perfect for families,
its close proximity to Gyeongju World,
and the meticulously clean rooms despite the hotel's age,
it definitely lives up to its reputation: "As expected of the Hilton!"

Through the recent remodeling,
not only did they swap out the lobby furniture,
but they also upgraded the room lighting and switches
to a modern digital control system,
completely shaking off that dated resort vibe.
Above all, compared to other 5-star hotels,
the rooms and bathrooms are generously spacious,
allowing you to enjoy your staycation without ever feeling cramped.

Easily control room lighting and temperature via the touch pad, OK!
An automatic temperature-controlled shower, hair dryer,
anti-fog bathroom mirror, bidet,
room slippers, bathrobes, an iron,
an electric kettle, wine glasses, and complimentary bottled water—
it has everything you’d expect from a 5-star hotel.
You can also request extra baby amenities if needed.
2. Gyeongju Summer Staycation: Pricing for Hilton Gyeongju (Including Breakfast & Pool)

While weekend rates during the peak holiday season at the Hilton Gyeongju
can climb above ~$256 (including breakfast),
you can score some great discounts if you're flexible with your dates.
The key is to book it immediately as soon as you spot a deal!
3. Why Hilton Gyeongju's Indoor & Outdoor Pool 'Eureka' is So Popular

When looking for family hotels with pools in Gyeongju, those traveling with kids
usually end up choosing the Hilton Gyeongju again and again,
and I've seen so many reviews calling it the absolute best.
The 'Eureka' outdoor pool is open seasonally from late May to late September,
operating only during this warm-weather window.
What's great is that you can seamlessly access both the indoor and outdoor pools,
allowing everyone to swim and splash around exactly how they like.
Even if you don't book a pool-inclusive package,
hotel guests get a 50% discount, making it super reasonable.
Once you're done splashing around,
you can enjoy a delicious meal, take a stroll around Bomun Lake,
and then sink into the cozy 5-star bedding for the perfect night's sleep!

While you can always add breakfast on-site
at Hilton Gyeongju,
it's usually much better to book a breakfast-inclusive package in advance.
When looking at the dates, I noticed that booking the 'Eureka Package'
automatically includes breakfast for two!
If you're on a family trip with the kids,
I highly recommend having an early breakfast,
and then heading over to spend some fun quality time at 'Annyeong Gyeongjuya' (kids' cafe).
