Plaza Premium Lounge Food Review

The last stop of our London, UK trip is
departing from Heathrow Airport.
To spend your remaining time at the airport,
some of you might be considering using a lounge.
Today, I’ll share my experience at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2's
Plaza Premium Lounge, including a review of my visit
and an introduction to the types of food and drinks available!
First, I'll explain the location of the Plaza Premium Lounge
and how to enter.

The Plaza Premium Lounge is located after immigration control.
Simply follow the signs marked 'A3 Lounge',
and you'll easily find it!
📍 Operating hours are until 9:30 PM,
and you can enter using apps like 'The Lounge' or a PP Card.

and then enter.

I utilized my lounge card benefits
and issued my pass through The Lounge app,
and as you can see in the photo, I was able to enter after scanning the code.
Next, I'll show you the interior of the lounge.
I visited during dinner time,
and the lounge was almost full,
with only one or two tables remaining.
There were round sofa seats, single sofa seats,
and regular 2-4 person tables.
As expected, the sofa seats are more comfortable,
so there were no remaining seats there.
Next, I'll introduce the types of food and drinks available in the lounge.
About half of the food section was dedicated to salads.
There were basic vegetable salads, tomatoes, olives, carrots, and other ingredients
that seemed common in European cuisine.
Main dishes included roasted potatoes, chicken stew, cheese pizza,
brownies, and soup.
When dishes ran out, they were sometimes replaced with different options.
Finally, for desserts, there were two kinds of nuts and fruits,
along with bread and biscuits.
While the variety of food wasn't small,
perhaps because it's the UK, there wasn't anything particularly distinctive.
For beverages, there were four types of carbonated drinks:
cider, two kinds of Pepsi, and an orange soda.
Coffee and tea were provided with teabags and instant coffee grounds,
where you simply add hot water.
Last but not least, here's the alcohol section.
What's unique about the Plaza Premium Lounge is that
they actually had a bartender on site.
You just tell them what you'd like from the menu,
and they'll prepare it for you right there.
Alcohol is divided into complimentary and paid options.
Complimentary drinks include five types of wine,
four types of spirits, and one type of beer.
While there are many more types of paid alcoholic beverages,
they are quite expensive, ranging from 4 to 8 pounds,
so I recommend skipping them if you can.
Finally, I'll share my thoughts and reviews on the lounge food
I tried.
First, the chicken stew was tender and had plenty of chicken,
making it delicious. If you melt a piece of cheese into it, the flavor really elevates,
making it even more enjoyable!
The pizza quality was also pretty good. While it was a simple
savory, tomato-flavored pizza, the crust was chewy, and I quite enjoyed it.
Above all, the complimentary Angelo Poretti Lager was what I was most satisfied with.
With its refreshing coolness, smooth finish, and just the right amount of carbonation,
it was the best thing I had in the lounge.
Additionally, the brownie was rich and incredibly sweet, making it a perfect dessert,
and the cheese crackers were also decent as a snack.
Surprisingly, the potato dish I had high hopes for was just 'okay' —
it wasn't well-seasoned and a bit dry.
Using my lounge card benefits, I visited the Plaza Premium Lounge
at Heathrow Airport, and my satisfaction level, especially for a free visit, was incredibly high!
I could enjoy alcoholic beverages like beer to my heart's content, which would cost
over ~$7 a glass in the city, and there was a good variety of food to choose from.
However, since the food isn't Korean-based, some dishes might not suit everyone's palate.
Please keep this in mind before your visit!
I recommend it to anyone with a lounge card, and it's also a great option for those who want
to relax comfortably for a long time at the airport.
