► Dates & Hours

🟣 Festival Dates
06/10/2026 - 06/28/2026
09:00 AM - 07:00 PM
(Last entry at 06:00 PM)
As of writing this, there are exactly 7 days left to catch the official festival!
► Admission Fees

The Goseong Lavender Festival does require an entrance fee.
Adults: ~$5
Teens & Seniors: ~$4.50
Children: ~$2.50

If you're traveling with a large group (20+ people), the rate drops to ~$4 per person. Local Goseong residents can enjoy a 50% discount.
► Parking

Good news—parking is completely free of charge.
However, be warned that traffic spikes drastically after 11:00 AM on weekends during the festival. I visited on a weekday, so I had my pick of several parking lots and parked with ease. If you want a relaxed, crowd-free experience, a morning visit is highly recommended.
► Review & Pro Tips

Since this was my first time attending the lavender festival, I arrived totally unprepared. Pro tip: bring a parasol or sun umbrella! The sun beats down intensely on the open fields.

Once you enter the grounds, the entire farm transforms into a lively festival hub. The atmosphere created by the endless lavender is absolutely breathtaking, drawing both locals and travelers from afar.

You can grab a guide map at the entrance. I saw so many couples, families, and solo explorers soaking in the sights.
✔️ Please note: Outside food is strictly prohibited. While they don't do bag checks, please respect the farm's rules and leave snacks in the car.

Because of the heat, I knew I couldn't stay out in the sun all day. Before leaving, I stopped by the cafe near the exit and treated myself to their famous lavender ice cream.

Due to recent climate changes affecting the bloom volume this year, they’ve actually discounted the ice cream from ~$2.50 to just ~$2! My friends and I enjoyed it on our way out after exploring the fields. It was my first time trying lavender ice cream, and the unique, floral flavor was surprisingly delicious. You absolutely have to try it when you visit.

Initially, I wondered if paying an entrance fee just to look at flowers would be worth it. I planned to stay for just 30 minutes, but the photo ops were so good that I ended up wandering around for well over an hour.

Walking past the European-style entrance reveals the heart of the festival. The farm was much more expansive and beautifully landscaped than I had imagined.

You'll also spot a stunning hydrangea garden on the way to the main lavender fields—I immediately had my camera out!

Welcome to the main event of the Goseong Lavender Festival.
Take your time strolling the paths and capturing memories with the lavender, but remember to stay on the designated walkways.

✔️ Crucial reminder: This is a privately owned and operated farm. Please be respectful and do NOT step over the ropes into the flower beds.
► Peak Bloom Timing
Hani Lavender Farm Bloom Schedule
First Bloom: Early June
Peak Bloom: Early July

If you want to see the lavender at its absolute best, visiting right now is ideal. When I went, it was just approaching peak bloom, offering the deepest, most vibrant purple hues. Considering this year's blooms are slightly less dense than previous years, timing your visit as close to peak bloom as possible will give you the best experience.
✔️ Rather than strictly adhering to the festival dates, try to plan your visit around the actual peak bloom timing.

Even though the lavender isn't as thick as it could be, the festive, joyful energy from everyone visiting more than makes up for it.

For a small fee of ~$3, you can join a scent-making experience in the Metasequoia forest. I didn't mention this earlier, but there are various interactive events happening across different zones of the farm.

Beyond the lavender, there is so much more to see, like Monet's Flower Field and the Secret Garden. I even spotted a few unique flower varieties I had never seen before.
► Final Thoughts
While there are other lavender destinations in Korea, I finally understand why Goseong's Hani Lavender Farm is so incredibly popular. With only a few days left in the official season, if you happen to be traveling through Gangwon State right now, I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary.
That wraps up my guide to the 2026 Goseong Lavender Festival at Hani Lavender Farm, complete with ticket prices, transit tips, and my honest review. I hope this helps you plan an unforgettable summer getaway!
