Goseong in Gangwon-do is all the rage these days!
With Cheonjin Beach especially famous
for its collection of cafes and unique shops,
I started looking for accommodation nearby.
In Goseong, it seemed that most places were either luxury resorts or older pensions,
making it challenging to find an accommodation with great value for money.
But then I discovered a place I booked myself and absolutely loved,
and I'm excited to share it with you!

Let's dive into my review of Goseong Sherbil Pension, which has it all!

There's parking available under the building,
and you'll even receive a text message with details for a dedicated outdoor parking lot.
Review of Room 306
While the exterior of Goseong Sherbil Pension looks a bit dated,
all the guest rooms have been beautifully remodeled and are incredibly clean.
There's an elevator, so you can easily move your luggage up and down.
When you arrive, you'll receive check-in instructions.
You just need to pick up your room key and the air conditioner remote.
I booked Room 306, which is a non-cooking room,
and remember, all rooms are non-smoking.
Rooms 6 and 7 are non-cooking rooms, but in all other rooms,
simple cooking is permitted.
There are even rooms that can accommodate up to 8 people,
making it perfect for families or groups of friends!
Plus, there's a separate barbecue area on the rooftop,
which would be a fantastic place to enjoy a meal!
Room 306 is a double bed room with two sides featuring panoramic windows.
The moment I stepped into the room, I was greeted by the
ocean view of Cheonjin Beach unfolding right before me,
which was even more stunning than I had imagined!
It was recently completely remodeled and is impeccably clean,
boasting a modern and sophisticated ambiance
that's perfect for capturing stunning photos.
Being able to see the ocean right from the bed, morning and evening, was truly incredible!!
The bed was also generously sized, perfect for two people.
While many places only provide thick blankets regardless of the season,
The bed was made with a light and comfortable
summer duvet here,
and you could really feel the owner's thoughtful touch.
Thanks to that, I slept soundly and comfortably without feeling stuffy.
The room size was generous enough to comfortably spread out my luggage,
making my stay feel even more pleasant than a hotel.
There's a bar table,
which is great for doing your makeup in the morning,
or for having a chat over a glass of beer or wine.
The TV supports Netflix and YouTube,
so you can definitely enjoy a movie with a beer!!
Even though it's a room where cooking isn't allowed, and there's no induction stove,
a microwave, coffee pot, cups, cutlery, and more
are all well-provided. It's perfect for bringing your own food or
enjoying convenience store meals.
It seems they replaced all the electronics during the renovation,
which was great because everything was so clean.
The refrigerator is also a large size with a freezer compartment.
While Sherbourg Pension doesn't provide bottled water separately,
there's a water purifier in the hallway!!
I always feel it's a waste to buy water when traveling.
So, I didn't spend any money on water during my stay at Sherbourg!!
If you open the door next to the refrigerator, you'll find a sink.
The bathroom at Sherbourg Pension is truly fantastic.
You can tell it's been recently renovated – it just screams new!
A clean and stylish bathroom!
As for amenities,
they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste.
Toothbrushes, however, are not included.
Plenty of regular-sized towels are provided,
and in the bathroom, you'll find a hair comb and a hairdryer.
There's an outlet right next to the hairdryer,
which was convenient for drying my hair right in the bathroom.
During my 3-day, 2-night stay, the soundproofing was excellent,
and there were no annoying noises from the bathroom or sink.
The room condition is excellent, and Sherbourg Pension also offers
I found out that free laundry is available too.
Oh, and the water purifier I mentioned earlier is also available!
It's truly fantastic!!!
Price Information
The location is great, it has an ocean view, and the room conditions are excellent,
but the most important thing is value for money, right?
So, I went ahead and compared the lowest prices across different sites for you.

Considering its location and room quality,
I was genuinely impressed by the value for money here,

Room 306 at Chervil Pension is booked as a non-cooking room. Although there is no induction cooktop, a microwave, coffee pot, cups, and dining utensils are provided, making it suitable for bringing your own food or eating convenience store items.
The lowest weekday rate for Chervil Pension is ~$45 on Agoda. Yanolja was confirmed at ~$58, and Trip.com at ~$59.
Chervil Pension does not provide water separately in the rooms. However, a water dispenser is installed in the hallway, which guests can use for free.
Chervil Pension is located right in front of the sea, where Cheonjin Beach and Bongpo Beach connect. A CU convenience store is conveniently located right next to the accommodation.
Simple cooking is possible in all rooms at Chervil Pension except for rooms #6 and #7. All rooms are non-smoking.
