For your next autumn getaway in Korea, this is one place I absolutely have to recommend!
This time, I visited Wyndham Goseong in Gangwon-do Goseong, which recently opened, along with my parents.
To put it simply, out of all the family trips we've enjoyed this year,
my parents' satisfaction was absolutely the highest.
This Goseong hotel in Gangwon-do truly hit the mark.

From the pristine ocean-view rooms,
to the heated infinity pool boasting panoramic views of the East Sea,
the stylish LNB Lounge, and a delectable breakfast buffet –
there was so much to enjoy right within the hotel,
making it the perfect spot for a relaxing hotel stay.

What I particularly loved was how we didn't have to venture far at all,
yet we could still truly immerse ourselves in the vacation spirit.
This was incredibly satisfying, especially when traveling with my parents.

Essential Hotel Information

Since this trip was a family getaway with my parents,
I focused extra on details like the cleanliness of the rooms, parking convenience, dining options,
and especially, what activities we could enjoy right at the accommodation.
I found myself being much more meticulous than usual.
From that perspective, Wyndham Goseong truly exceeded expectations.
Given that it's the global luxury brand 'Wyndham,'
it certainly lived up to its reputation!
Location | Bongpo-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do |
Check-in/out | 4:00 PM / 11:00 AM |
Front Desk | 24-hour operation |
Parking | Exclusive underground parking for guests |
Key Facilities | All-Season Infinity Pool, Fitness Center, ANANAS (Restaurant), LNB (Lounge), CU Convenience Store |

Wyndham Goseong, Gangwon-do, boasts 489 rooms, and every single one offers breathtaking ocean views!
Plus, Bongpo Beach is just about a 2-minute walk away,
making its location truly unbeatable.
Even from Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market or Sokcho Terminal,
it's only about a 15-minute drive, making it easy to bundle your trip to Goseong with a visit to Sokcho.
It's the perfect setup for exploring both areas seamlessly.
2. Premier Double Room Review

The room we had the pleasure of staying in this time was
the Wyndham Goseong Premier Double Ocean View type!
As expected from a newly opened hotel in Goseong, Gangwon-do,
the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a space that's both pristine and wonderfully modern.

When I bring my parents to accommodation, it's not just about what I like; I subtly check their reaction first. As soon as we entered the room, they loved how clean it was and especially raved about the view, which made me feel so incredibly proud! Haha.

The room basically comes with bathrobes, indoor slippers, bottled water, coffee and tea, a coffee maker, mugs, and glasses!
What I especially loved was that the bathroom amenities were BALMAIN products – such a thoughtful detail!

However, disposable amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors are not provided in the room, so make sure to bring your own or purchase them at the CU convenience store on the 5th floor!

The separate rooms made our stay together so comfortable.
The biggest reason our room satisfaction was so high on this trip was precisely because it was separated into two distinct spaces.
Even if you're family, you still need your own space when you sleep, shower, or get ready, right?

We spent our evenings chatting together in the living room, and then when it was time to sleep, we could relax comfortably in our own rooms, making it much more convenient than we'd even imagined.

Being able to enjoy the ocean from the balcony
was another major highlight!
The fact that this room had a balcony was something I absolutely adored.

My parents always go for an sunrise walk whenever they visit Gangwon-do, but here, they could comfortably watch the sunrise right from the balcony – their satisfaction was absolutely top-notch!!!
3. Four-Season Heated Infinity Pool
The absolute highlight of this family trip was undoubtedly the 28th-floor rooftop infinity pool!
Being able to enjoy a swim while looking down at the East Sea from such a high floor truly gave us that perfect 'hotel-cation' vibe.
Location | Tower A, 28th Floor |
Operating Hours | 2:00 PM ~ 10:00 PM |
Break Time
5:50 PM - 6:15 PM
Admission Fee
Adults ~$28
Children ~$14
Towels
1 per person, free
Additional Towel
1 towel ~$1
Sunbed
~$15
Cabana
~$51
Life Vest

The pool water temperature is:
Summer (June-September) 29-30℃
Shoulder Season (April-May, October) 31-3℃
Winter (November-March) 35-40℃,
so you can enjoy swimming all year round!

We entered around 5 PM, just before the break time began. At first, even my parents asked, "Go to the pool when the weather is cool?" But once we got in, they absolutely loved how warm the water was.
Especially, the jacuzzi on one side had a slightly higher water temperature, making it feel wonderfully warm, almost like soaking in a hot spring.

And the view of the East Sea from the 28th floor is absolutely incredible!
Even without actively swimming, just soaking in the warm water and gazing out at the sea felt incredibly healing,
and my parents enjoyed it for a long time too.

Having experienced it myself this time, I realized that for autumn travel accommodations in Korea, the presence of a heated pool makes a surprisingly big difference.

4. Breakfast Buffet with My Parents
Breakfast Hours: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Breakfast Regular Price: Adults ~$39 / Children ~$20
Guests receive a 10% discount

The next morning, we had breakfast at ANANAS All Day Dining on the 4th floor of Tower A.
While there are so many great restaurants in Goseong and Sokcho, I felt like we had to try the breakfast to truly make the most of our time at such a fantastic hotel until check-out!

And honestly, instead of searching for restaurants first thing in the morning, driving, and waiting, being able to take the elevator down and immediately enjoy a meal made the start of our day so much more relaxed.

Since the menu was a buffet where you could pick and choose various items,
it was perfect for my parents and me to choose dishes that suited our individual tastes.
It wasn't just a simple spread of bread or a few salads;
from Korean to Western, live cooking stations, and a bakery,
it felt like a proper hotel buffet with a diverse selection.
Bibimbap, omelets, smoked salmon, ratatouille, bulgogi, porridge, dim sum,
pho, cereals, bakery items, yogurt, and more –
the menu truly offered a fantastic variety.
5. LNB Lounge Review
Location: Tower B, 28th floor
Operating Hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM / Last order 10:00 PM

This was a place my parents loved just as much as the infinity pool!
It was the LNB Lounge & Bar.
LNB takes its name from Lighthouse & Bongpo,
and is a lounge space named after them.
It's a lounge inspired by the lighthouse shining over Bongpo Beach.

The concept is a lounge where you can enjoy the ocean view during the day,
and a bar where you can enjoy music and cocktails at night!
The package we enjoyed this time was
the currently available "A Glass of Wine Beneath the Autumn Leaves" PKG!
(Includes breakfast for 2 + 2 glasses of LNB house wine
+ Assorted Fruit and Cheese Platter)

Along with the wine, a large wooden platter was served,
and the assortment was more substantial than I expected.
It came with prosciutto and melon, figs, grapes, apples,
along with various types of cheese, olives, and dried fruits.
It was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine, picking at each item,
and chatting with my parents.

Especially when traveling with parents,
we often head straight back to the accommodation after dinner.
But this time, sitting in the hotel lounge, the three of us enjoyed wine,
and it was wonderful to have a sophisticated "second round" together.
