When you start researching Halong Bay cruise prices, you will quickly realize that the price range is massive.
It is tempting to think, "It's the same bay and the same route, so I'll just book the cheapest option!"
However, I highly recommend spending a little extra to book a luxury cruise. It completely elevates the entire trip.
1. The Overall Cruise Quality
You will spend at least several hours on board navigating through the karst mountains.
Having comfortable seating, clean facilities, and a modern vessel makes a massive difference in how much you enjoy the journey.
A few years ago, I went on a budget Halong Bay tour. While it wasn't terrible, the older boat didn't make me want to linger or relax on deck.
2. The Dining Experience
On my previous budget cruise, we were served a very basic, pre-set fish stew that didn't leave much of an impression.
