Gyeongju Suseok Hanok Review: Private Pool & Jacuzzi
Experience the perfect blend of traditional architecture and modern luxury at Gyeongju Suseok, a private Hanok pool villa featuring a hot outdoor jacuzzi.

Hey there! I'm Bamkki.
I recently took a 3-day, 2-night trip to Gyeongju.
And when you think of Gyeongju, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Staying at a traditional Hanok house, of course!
The place we stayed on our very first night
completely blew us away with its amazing outdoor jacuzzi (satisfaction level: 10,000%!).
A traditional Hanok on the outside, and a cozy, modern aesthetic on the inside—
here is my honest review of this stylish Gyeongju Hanok stay,
Time of Gyeongju - Suseok :>

1. How to Get There & Parking
📍 Time of Gyeongju - Suseok
1st Floor, 11-15 Namganan-gil, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
Time of Gyeongju - Suseok is located in Tap-dong, Gyeongju.
It's situated just south of the main tourist hubs
like Hwangridan-gil and Daereungwon.
Aside from outer spots like Bulguksa Temple or Seokguram Grotto,
it's only about a 10-minute drive to the heart of Gyeongju's downtown,
making it super convenient to get around!
As for parking, there's a spacious gravel yard
right in front of the building with plenty of room.

The booking confirmation message gives detailed directions, but
this is the actual building of Time of Gyeongju - Suseok.
Make sure you don't mistake it
for the neighboring buildings! ><
2. The Hanok Exterior & Garden
As soon as you open the small gate and turn towards the Hanok,
you're greeted by this stunning view...!

My husband and I were already head over heels at this point 😭
Keep in mind that it was a bit of a cloudy day,
so the photos turned out a tad dark!

Just look at how the sweeping curves of the Hanok roof come alive...!!!
The building is shaped in a slight 'V' structure.
In the center is the entrance, leading to the indoor plunge pool,
with the bedroom on the right,
and the relaxation zone and kitchen on the left.

Even the main entrance features a traditional wooden porch (*maru*).
I absolutely love these subtle Hanok details! 🩷
The garden is so peaceful, clean, and beautifully landscaped, isn't it?
Even though it's not on high ground,
there are no tall buildings in front of it,
so the open view was amazing ☀️
3. The Cozy & Aesthetic Private Pool Villa

As soon as you walk in, there's an elevated
tea room space to your right.
With massive floor-to-ceiling windows,
you can enjoy a peaceful cup of tea while gazing out at the garden—pure healing!
The next morning was so bright and sunny,
I must have taken a million photos here 📷

Right past the tea room is the bedroom area.
They put two super-single beds together,
so it was incredibly spacious and comfy!
Plus, true to Hanok design,
the high ceilings give the room a wonderful, airy feel.

This is the vanity and powder room right next to the bed.
Isn't this view just incredibly serene?
I loved looking out the wide window
at the lush greenery and the blue sky 🥹

Right next to it, the shower and toilet were in separate spaces.
There were two showers in total,
and this particular shower connected
directly to the outdoor jacuzzi.
On the opposite side of the bedroom (away from the tea room),
there’s an indoor pool,
which leads through a relaxation room and a hallway
right into the kitchen.

"Gyeongju Time: Suseok," a traditional Hanok stay in Gyeongju—
are you starting to get a feel
for how this beautiful space is laid out? haha 😊

The indoor pool is quite spacious at 3m x 5m,
with a depth of 60cm (about 2 feet).
There were also two kid-sized swim rings already there,
so you don't even need to pack your own. So convenient!
*Note: Heated water needs to be requested separately.
Since it's not a path where lots of people pass by,
I pulled up the blinds while swimming.
Floating in the water
and staring up at the blue sky... you have no idea how incredibly blissful it was! ✨

The relaxation room, tucked right next to the hallway,
features an ethanol fireplace right in front of a cozy sofa bed,
making it the perfect spot for some relaxing "fire-gazing" (bul-meong).
They even had a Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker
connected to a tablet,
so I listened to some tunes while watching the flames dance. 🎵
Maybe it’s because of the long, open layout,
but the music had this lovely, resonant quality
that made the whole vibe feel even more magical! I loved it. ><

Remember how I mentioned the villa is shaped like a V?
One wing houses the tea room and the outdoor jacuzzi,
while the other wing is where you’ll find this gorgeous kitchen and dining area.

So, sitting at the dining table and looking to your left,
you get this stunning view of the garden and jacuzzi!
The photos really don't do it justice—
it was absolutely breathtaking in real life!

They even prepared a welcome spread for us, which felt so incredibly hospitable... 💜
It paired perfectly with coffee,
and if you're planning a complete staycation here,
it's the perfect selection to enjoy with a bottle of wine
the second you check in.

The kitchen is fully equipped for light cooking (excluding anything with a strong odor),
and was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you could possibly need.
I noticed a high chair right next to the table,
but seeing they even provided children's tableware made my heart melt. *0*
The thoughtful attention to detail
was woven into every single corner of this place,
which made our stay feel so much more special! 🤩
Saving the best for last—my absolute favorite highlight of our stay:
the outdoor jacuzzi at Gyeongju Time: Suseok!

To give you an idea of how much I loved it,
I used it at night, and then woke up at 8 AM the next morning
just to get back in...
Since it takes over three hours to fill up the tub,
I actually woke up around 4 AM
just to turn the water on, then went back to sleep! lol.

You absolutely must try it both at night and in the morning.
The vibes are completely different!
At night, it’s all about soaking under the stars in peaceful silence,
while the morning wraps you in the fresh, waking energy of the world...
It felt like absorbing a wave of pure healing through my entire body.
Words truly can't do it justice,
but this stay was seriously, seriously, seriously amazing.
Next time, I really want to bring my parents along
and just completely unwind here for about 3 nights.
Exploring Gyeongju at a leisurely pace during the day,
and relaxing deeply at the stay in the morning and evening...
Whether you're soaking in the outdoor jacuzzi
or reading a book while taking in the view—it is the perfect healing getaway!!!
Highly recommending this cozy, aesthetic Hanok stay in Gyeongju!
