1. Lahan Select Gyeongju vs Hilton Gyeongju: Which should you book?

Q.
Lahan Select Gyeongju vs Hilton Gyeongju,
which one is the better choice?
To give you the quick answer:
If you want to spend most of your time relaxing, walking,
and exploring right inside the property, go with Lahan Select.
But if you’re planning a family trip that includes Gyeongju World,
Hilton Gyeongju might be a slightly better fit.
That said, both hotels are incredibly popular summer pool destinations
and are located right in the Bomun Tourist Complex,
so it really just comes down to your personal travel style!

From the moment you step into the lobby of Lahan Select,
there are so many beautiful spots to explore and photograph.
You can relax with a book at the 1st-floor book cafe, 'Gyeongju Promenade,'
snap aesthetic photos at various designated spots, and watch the time fly.
During the day, you can enjoy a refreshing swim,
and since there's a gate that directly connects to the Bomun Lake walking trail...
And if you wrap up your day with a relaxing evening stroll outside,
your day feels absolutely complete.
Hilton Gyeongju has
that reassuring, classic comfort only a 5-star hotel can offer,
and the famous "Eureka" pool definitely lived up to the hype.
Having stayed at both, it’s honestly so hard to say which one was better.
They each have their own unique charm!
That’s why I’m planning to book one night at each hotel again this August
to do a proper, final comparison for you all.

2. Staying at Lahan Select: Lake View Room & Pool Review

Q.
.Is it worth paying extra
to upgrade to a lake view room?
Since I was already traveling to Gyeongju,
I really wanted to treat myself to a stunning view of Bomun Lake.
So, I went ahead and booked the lake view room!
I spent my days exploring Gyeongju’s beautiful sights,
but the moment I returned to my room,
I didn’t want to miss a single second of relaxing
while gazing out at that gorgeous lake.

Since our room overlooked the pool area as well,
it was super convenient to check how crowded it was before heading down.
Plus, we could even spot Gyeongju World off in the distance!
If you're traveling with kids, make sure to request baby amenities
like bed guards, baby cribs, baby bathtubs,
and humidifiers in advance.
Quantities are limited, so instead of waiting
until your check-in day, I’d highly recommend
calling them right after making your booking.

Q.
Is the Lahan Select pool good for kids?
Lahan Select Gyeongju Hotel features an indoor pool and
an outdoor pool open during the summer season.
While the indoor pool has lanes for adults,
it also has a kids' pool and a baby pool,
making it perfect for children of all ages.

The outdoor pool blends beautifully with the lush summer greenery around Bomun Lake,
giving you that ultimate summer staycation vibe
right in the heart of Gyeongju.
However, while there are packages that include breakfast,
even hotel guests have to pay
a separate fee for the Lahan Select pool, albeit at a 50% discount.
If you plan on swimming,
I'd suggest booking a breakfast-inclusive package first,
and then paying for the pool access with the 50% discount
once you're at the hotel and see how you feel.
But if you're planning to spend most of your time exploring outside
and want to skip the pool altogether,
booking a room-only rate is a great way to save!
3. Comparing Gyeongju Lahan Select Packages
Q.
Should I add breakfast at Lahan Select Gyeongju?
If you want to enjoy a relaxing morning inside the hotel,
I highly recommend adding the breakfast option.
Especially for family trips with kids,
starting the day with a hearty hotel breakfast makes everything so much easier.
With a wide variety of choices, including Korean food, Western dishes, baked goods, and fresh fruit,
there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Plus, you get a lovely view of Bomun Lake from the dining area,
making it a wonderfully peaceful dining experience.
The Hilton Gyeongju breakfast also stands out with its reliable menu and top-notch service, true to a classic 5-star hotel.
However, at Lahan Select, the breakfast area naturally leads right into the book cafe and walking trails,
making it incredibly easy to transition
from your morning meal to a refreshing post-breakfast stroll!

Q.
So, in the end, between Lahan Select and Hilton,
which Gyeongju hotel should you book?
Since both are 5-star hotels,
offer stunning views of Bomun Lake,
and are just about a 3-minute drive from each other,
there isn't a massive difference between them!
I'd highly recommend booking whichever one has
a special deal or discount coupon running at the moment to snag the best price!~
