Nubigongbangcafe Hyeda, a cafe near Gyeongju's Muyeolwangneung Tomb, is located in Seoak-dong.
The path up to the cafe is a bit narrow,
so I recommend parking at the Muyeolwangneung Tomb Free Parking Lot
and enjoying a beautiful 7-minute walk up the charming alleyways.
Alternatively, you can park behind Dobongseodang.
I didn't check the parking beforehand, so I ended up driving up the alley and parking behind Dobongseodang.

This isn't exactly the alley, but I snapped this picture from inside the car because the road to Seoak-dong was so pretty. 😊

Just a quick 1-minute stroll down from Dobongseodang, you'll spot Gyeongju's Nubigongbangcafe Hyeda.
The weather was particularly lovely that day,
and the Hanok cafe, set against a backdrop of blue skies and green mountains, looked absolutely stunning! 🥰

Nubigongbangcafe Hyeda, a charming Hanok cafe near Gyeongju's Muyeolwangneung Tomb, boasts a beautiful garden.

The weather was truly perfect...
I briefly considered sitting on one of the pretty garden stones. However,
since I needed to use my laptop, I decided to head indoors.

I arrived a bit late, so some of the breads were unfortunately sold out.
The breads are all generously sized,
and the prices are quite reasonable, don't you think?!
They're made with natural sourdough starter, which makes them extra delicious.

Gyeongju Cafe Nubigongbangcafe Hyeda Honest Review

While waiting for our order, I took some time to explore the interior of Gyeongju's Cafe Hyeda.
The interior, utilizing wood within the traditional Hanok structure,
exuded a serene and comfortable atmosphere.

I was particularly captivated by the wide, horizontal window 🥹
The view of the sky and mountains outside, with sunlight streaming in, created such a warm and inviting scene! ❣️

There was a dedicated space where they baked the bread fresh,
and they also sold small accessories.

Our ordered breads arrived!
Wow, they didn't look this big when they were in the display case! 😂 I was definitely surprised by their size! 👀

We ordered the Apple Bread because it doesn't just have apple jam;
finely diced fresh apples are incorporated right from the dough-making stage! 🍎🍎
To be honest, it only felt like "Oh, apple bread!" when I bit into a piece of apple.
Otherwise, it was a soft, subtly flavored yeast bread.
I personally love this style of bread, and I happily devoured it with my milk tea! 🩷

And the absolute highlight of the day was the Ang Butter Bread!
Not only was the bread itself large,
but they were incredibly generous with the butter and red bean paste, making it utterly delicious.
That wraps up my review of Nubigongbangcafe Hyeda, Gyeongju's charming Hanok cafe and bakery! :>
We recommend parking at the free parking lot of King Muyeol's Tomb and walking up for about 7 minutes. This is a good option if you find it difficult to drive up the narrow alleyways. If you do drive up, you can use the free parking space behind Dobongseodang.
It is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please note that it is closed every Monday and Tuesday when planning your visit.
It doesn't contain apple jam; instead, finely chopped fresh apples are added right from the dough-making stage. Made with natural sourdough starter, it has a soft, mild flavor and a pleasant texture with bits of real apple.
Breads and cakes range from ~$2 to ~$8, and beverages are priced between ~$3 and ~$4. The breads are quite large, offering great value for money.
