Ready for summer fun at Gyeongju California Beach? Discover the best ticket discounts, smart booking methods, and essential tips for a smooth, enjoyable visit. Dive in!

When it comes to water parks, booking your tickets in advance
is usually way cheaper than buying them at the gate.
I did a quick price comparison before my trip,
and booking Gyeongju California Beach in advance was definitely the cheapest option!

There are generally three ways to score a discount.
Since I didn't qualify for any card promotions or special group rates,
I booked through Klook and applied a ~$1 discount code.

Gold Season 1 All-Day Pass - 2 Adults: ~$47
We booked for about ~$23 per person!
It's cheaper than buying at the gate,
and you can bypass the ticket booth entirely
and walk straight in—making it so much easier!
If you plan on booking via Klook, use the link above and apply these discount codes:

세시간전260002
세시간전260003
🚨 Heads up! At the time of writing, the NOL Special Deal is running even cheaper! If you're planning a visit, grab this special discount quickly!
You seriously won't find a better price than this, so lock it in first!

Just check these three things before booking,
and you'll easily find the absolute cheapest rate.
• Payment Discount : Credit card / simple payment promotions (advance reservation required)
• Booking Platform Discount : Discounts on platforms like Klook, MyRealTrip, etc.
• Special Eligibility Discount : Local resident discount, student discount, etc.
If you don't qualify for any of these like me,
simply go with the booking platform discount.

During peak season, the crowds are huge.
If you buy tickets at the gate, you'll have to wait in two separate lines: one for the ticket booth and one for entry.
But if you book online in advance,
you only need to stand in the entry line
and simply show your booking voucher's barcode!
When we arrived right around the 10:00 AM opening time,
some parking lots were already completely full
and the entry queue was massive.

There is a quick bag inspection at the entrance.
Simple snacks like bottled water
and seedless fruit are allowed.
However, prepared foods like chicken or pizza are restricted.
Hair dryers and curling irons are also not allowed inside.

Once you enter, grab your locker key, store your belongings,
and head over to rent whatever gear you need.
Since the entrance gets incredibly crowded right at the 10:00 AM opening,
I highly recommend wearing your swimsuit under your clothes before arriving!
California Beach Rental Fees | ||
Item | Fee | |
Life Jacket | Rental Fee | ~$5 |
Sunbed | Rental Fee | ~$16 |
Double Sunbed | Rental Fee | ~$64 |
Bungalow | Rental Fee | ~$128 |
Beach Towel | Rental Fee | ~$3 |
Deposit | ~$3 |

There are two locker areas for storing your belongings inside the water park.
👉 Right in front of the main attractions ride entrance
👉 Right in front of the Wave Canyon entrance
Even if you've rented a sunbed or bungalow, if you can't get back to your spot quickly, or if you're worried about leaving valuables on an open sunbed, I highly recommend using these free self-service lockers!

Swimwear, a swim cap (or any cap/hat), and a life jacket are
absolute must-haves that you cannot do without
at California Beach Water Park. Make sure to pack these!
You can rent or buy them right at the park,
but if you can bring your own, I highly recommend prepping them beforehand to save some cash.

Here are some other helpful items to pack.
To be honest, they’re practically essentials too!
Life will definitely be a bit inconvenient without them~!!
(Hair ties, Crocs or water shoes, toiletries, personal towel, change of underwear, goggles, sunglasses, waterproof phone pouch, swim tube, sunscreen, etc.)

It had been ages since my last water park visit~!!
Even though the lines were super long and we couldn't ride everything,
the overall vibe and satisfaction were still top-notch.
Let me introduce the main rides for you!

Before we start...
This was the queue situation the second we rushed in after entering.
And honestly, this is just a fraction of it.
The line snaked all the way down the stairs.
So, if you absolutely hate waiting in long lines,
you need to arrive early, cut down on your swimsuit changing time,
and sprint straight to the attraction lines!

The two most popular rides are 1️⃣ X and 2️⃣ Wipeout.
Expect a wait time anywhere from 30 minutes to a solid 2 hours.
The line for Wipeout seemed a bit shorter, so we jumped on that one first.
And wow, I totally get why people wait for this. It was so much fun~!!
Waiting in line for "X" on top of that felt like too much...
so we had to skip it, sadly T_T

The single-rider attractions consist of four main slides: 3️⃣ Triple Out 1, 4️⃣ Triple Out 2, 5️⃣ Triple Out 3, and 6️⃣ Turbo Twist.
Since queuing for all of them was out of the question, we chose Triple Out 1—known to be the most thrilling of the four.
It features a vertical drop that is absolutely terrifying...
But it was over in the blink of an eye, which left me wanting more!

This ride is physically located inside Gyeongju World (but accessible from the water park):
a massive water coaster that hits you with an absolute deluge,
7️⃣ Submarine Splash!
Getting absolutely drenched is half the fun~!!
It's on a completely different scale from the standard splash coasters you find at typical theme parks. Since you're already in your swimwear, it's the perfect chance to get completely soaked without a care. We actually rode it twice!
Personally, the line moved really quickly and it was my absolute favorite haha.

Next up is 8️⃣ Wave Canyon, an extreme lazy river where you surrender yourself to powerful, machine-made waves!
Floating along and getting tossed around by some pretty massive waves makes this incredibly fun!
I ended up riding this one twice too, haha! The line gets pretty long, though...
You get your tubes right before boarding each attraction, so there’s absolutely no need to rent or buy one separately.

Besides that, there's a fantastic playground where kids can run wild,
and all kinds of different wave pools to splash around in!~
They also host fun live shows at scheduled times throughout the day!!

✔️ If you want to snag the cheapest tickets possible
✔️ If you want to skip the ticket booth lines entirely
✔️ If you're ready to beat the summer heat at a thrilling water park
If you want to experience a huge variety of slides and attractions, I highly recommend California Beach!!
During peak season, booking in advance is the ultimate hack to save both time and money! If you're planning a visit, definitely check out the discount benefits and book ahead~
