Having recently revisited Gyeongju after many years, I was amazed by the sheer number of beautiful Hanok accommodations and cafes that have sprung up.

Among them, I discovered a truly pristine and relaxing Hanok stay, Goyang Stay, which I'm thrilled to introduce to you today.

1. Finding Goyang Stay Gyeongju & Parking Information

Goyang Stay is conveniently located north of major Gyeongju attractions like Hwanglidan-gil Street and Geumgwanchong Tomb.

And here's a little secret: the famous local Gyeongju restaurant, #YeongyangSutbulGalbi, is right nearby!

As you drive through what seems like a residential area, you'll suddenly encounter this stunning, private Hanok building! This is your destination: Goyang Stay in Gyeongju.

2. Goyang Stay Gyeongju Room Conditions

Goyang Stay is a single building divided into two distinct units: Byeolbitchae (Starlight House) and Dalbitchae (Moonlight House).

I booked the Byeolbitchae on the right and settled in.

Upon entering, the bedroom area is to the right, while the kitchen and jacuzzi are to the left.

The Hanok structure boasts high ceilings, and with all spaces (except the restroom) being open-plan, it felt incredibly spacious and airy.

The king-sized bed is wonderfully spacious!

Aren't the exposed rafters absolutely stunning?

What's more, the entire space is crafted from beautiful hinoki cypress wood, creating a soothing wood-toned ambiance. The constant aroma of phytoncides was incredibly refreshing 💚

Let's explore the other side of the room!

I never realized how crucial high ceilings were until now. Doesn't the space look twice as large?

Air conditioning, a dehumidifier, and an air purifier are all provided!

The monitor is also movable, so you can pull it closer to the bed to watch your favorite shows ><

If you turn around from the previous photo's vantage point, you'll find the refrigerator and sink!

While there's a sink, cooking facilities are not available!

However, a microwave and coffee maker were provided, perfect for enjoying takeout or delivery meals.

Since the accommodation can host up to four people, tableware and utensils were prepared for four guests.

The salt bread prepared by the owner was a delightful surprise, and the refrigerator also contained two bottles of mineral water and Bundaberg sodas! 🤩

First off, having two bathrooms is a huge plus, making it comfortable even for four guests!

There are two bathrooms side-by-side: the one near the bed has a shower and toilet, while the one near the kitchen includes a toilet, sink, and shower.

The amenities are none other than Molton Brown!

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all provided. I especially loved the Gingerlily scent of the body wash – I've already added it to my favorites! ❣️

Right by the entrance, there was a neat coat rack and fresh towels. Used towels can simply be placed nearby.

Matching the hinoki cypress interior, even the small decor items were in soothing wood tones 🪵

Between the bathroom and the indoor jacuzzi, there's a convenient powder room area.

When traveling, I often find myself doing my makeup in the bathroom, so having a dedicated space like this was incredibly convenient.

Shower towels, razors, toothbrushes, and cotton pads & swabs were also provided as amenities.
