01. Jeongjisan Ruins

Start your Gongju night journey with the sunset at Jeongjisan

Jeongjisan Ruins is

the very first spot I want to recommend

on my list of best night views in Gongju.

Since it offers a panoramic view of the Geumgang River

and Gongsanseong Fortress, the landmarks of Gongju,

it's the perfect place to visit right as the sun goes down.

What I loved most was the wide, open grassy field.

Watching the sunset slowly paint the sky

somehow makes your busy, wandering thoughts

feel instantly calm and relaxed.

· Capture both the Geumgang River and the sunset in one frame.

· Shoot wide so that the sky fills up more than 70% of your photo.

02. Geumgang Iron Bridge (Geumgang Bridge)

Gongju's night view carrying 100 years of history

Geumgang Iron Bridge was built in 1933.

It’s a landmark with nearly a century of history!

At the time, it was known as the longest bridge south of the Han River.

In an era when most iron bridges were built exclusively for trains,

the fact that this was built for both cars and pedestrians

makes it a highly unique structure.

The bridge also carries the scars of Korea's modern history.

During the Korean War, to block the North Korean army's advance,

the US military blew up the bridge.

It was later restored to the beautiful structure we see today.

03. Jemincheon Stream

An evening stroll that makes Saturday nights feel extra special

Gongju's Jemincheon Stream is an absolute MUST-visit!!

Highly recommended on any trip to Gongju.

If you're visiting on a weekend,

don't miss the Jemincheon Daetong Challenge!

It's a hands-on experience where you float a lotus-shaped lantern

carrying your wishes down Jemincheon Stream.

It's a modern reinterpretation of 'Daetongsa Temple',

a historical temple dating back 1,500 years to the Baekje Kingdom.

They face each other directly,

making them the perfect duo for a combined night walk.

the atmosphere transforms completely after sunset

as the lights begin to twinkle one by one.

The warm glow illuminating the red brick buildings

makes it feel like a cozy, historic European village.

05. Gongsanseong Fortress

Gongju's signature night view—gorgeous even without climbing up

I highly recommend visiting Gongsanseong once by day

and once again by night.

The illuminated fortress walls after sunset

offer a completely different kind of magic compared to the daytime view.

You can capture some really fun and creative shots

with the fortress as your backdrop.

Using the crosswalk adds a natural sense of perspective,

and the sweeping fortress walls curving into the background

instantly bring the photo to life!
