Yeogieottae Room Prices
When I checked for October 2026 weekdays, the price on Yeogieottae was ~$88.
Prices can vary wildly depending on your dates. Weekend rates can easily be double the weekday price, so always double-check before you book!
My booking was a special event package through Yeogieottae, which included a room upgrade from a Superior to a Gorgeous Ocean Double, a complimentary order of Dakgangjeong (sweet and spicy fried chicken), and an all-day pass to the Pine Pool.
It was such an incredible deal, I booked it right away!
I compared it with another popular booking site, Yanolja, but Yeogieottae was definitely cheaper and offered a much better package overall.

St. John's Hotel boasts a prime location right in front of Gangmun Beach, meaning you can walk to the sand in just 2-3 minutes.
It's also not far from Gyeongpo Beach, making beach access incredibly convenient!
The hotel itself is quite expansive, with several dining options and a cafe/multi-shop called 'Angbbang' right on the premises. This meant we could grab snacks and drinks without ever leaving the resort.
Plus, there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants just outside the hotel.
Most guests arrive by car, and parking is readily available within the hotel complex.
If you're coming from Gangneung Station, a taxi ride takes about 15 minutes.
Check-in & First Impressions

I was surprised to see so many guests with dogs in the lobby, but then I learned that the hotel offers special pet-friendly rooms!
This is fantastic news for anyone traveling with their furry friends.
It made me wish I could have brought my own little one!
And here's a crucial tip you NEED to know!

Since it was a holiday weekend, the check-in line was quite long.
We arrived about 30-40 minutes before the 3 PM check-in time, but there were already over 50 groups ahead of us, with an estimated wait of almost an hour.

While we were waiting and looking around, I noticed that there was no one at the self-check-in kiosks!
It turns out that guests who booked through Yeogieottae can use these self-check-in machines.
So, we bypassed the long queue and checked in seamlessly before 3 PM using the kiosk. What a lifesaver!
Gorgeous Ocean View Double Room

Stepping into our upgraded room, the first thing that hit us was the breathtaking ocean view from the window. It was truly invigorating!

The bed was spacious, and the bedding felt incredibly comfortable.

In the bathroom, we found shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The shower pressure was impressively strong, which I always appreciate.

After a swim, I wondered where to dry our swimsuits, but a quick call to the front desk and they delivered a drying rack to our room free of charge. Super convenient!
For an ocean-view room at this price point, the amenities and overall experience were truly satisfying!
Pine Pool Bubble Party

The main reason I booked this hotel was for the bubble party, and it was so much fun that I'm already planning a return trip!
After checking in, we quickly dropped off our bags and headed straight to the pool.
The Pine Pool tends to get really crowded in the afternoon.
Our room package included an all-day pass for two to the Pine Pool, so we got in without any additional fees.
During the bubble party, the foam fills the entire pool, making it exciting for everyone, even adults.
Honestly, it was much more enjoyable than I expected.
The pool itself is heated, and with its open view towards the ocean, the atmosphere was absolutely lovely.

✅ The Pine Pool operates from 8 AM to 9 PM.
The Pine Pool Bubble Party takes place twice a day:
✔ Once at 5 PM
✔ And again at 7 PM
