Hello, I'm Rigo, your travel blogger.
During our last trip to Gangneung,
I visited the Gangneung Running Man Experience Center with my daughter.
Before our visit,
I wondered if it would be too childish for an elementary schooler?
Should we get the 60-minute ticket?
Or the 90-minute ticket?
I had a lot of questions.
The conclusion?
It wasn't childish at all, I highly recommend it for elementary school kids!
There were many challenging games for adults too,
and it's better to buy tickets differently depending on your situation!
Haha.
I'll leave a detailed review!
Gangneung Running Man Parking Address

📍 Running Man Gangneung Branch
2nd Floor, Pine Building, St. John's Hotel, 307 Changhae-ro, Gangneung-si, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province
Gangneung Running Man Ticket Recommendation
The Gangneung Running Man Experience Center is located
on the 2nd floor of the Pine Building at St. John's Hotel.
Since we stayed at St. John's Hotel,
we used the hotel parking lot. It was incredibly convenient
because we could easily park even before check-in
and head straight to the experience center.
If you're visiting by car,
you can use the St. John's Annex
external parking lot (Buildings A & B).
When using your own car:
Parking Address: 298-7 Haean-ro, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do
2 hours of free parking provided
Approximately 3 minutes walk to Gangneung Running Man Experience Center
Experience Center Location: 2nd Floor, Pine Building, St. John's Hotel
Tickets can be purchased on-site, but
you can enjoy a slightly lower price by booking in advance
with a Gangneung Running Man discount.
I initially bought only the Running Man ticket,
but the next day, we ended up going to ARTE MUSEUM too.
ARTE MUSEUM was truly grand and stunning.
That's why I recommend purchasing
the Running Man + ARTE MUSEUM
ticket set from the start.

Running Man Experience for Elementary Schoolers

When you first enter, you choose your difficulty level.
Since beginner level was recommended for elementary schoolers and women,
my daughter and I chose beginner, and my husband chose intermediate.
You can't change the difficulty level once you start,
so choose carefully.

When you first start, you tag your wristband,
which sets the game to your chosen difficulty level and begins.
My child is in the 3rd grade of elementary school,
and she started running around super excitedly right away.
At first, I thought it would just be an experience with a few missions,
but the amount of physical activity was much more than expected.

Each game involved a lot of physical movement,
with many missions requiring running, jumping, balancing, and quick reflexes.

By the time the experience ended,
we were all sweating profusely, our faces red,
and our clothes soaked from playing so energetically.
Mom and Dad also ran, screamed, and played games until we were breathless –
it felt like ages since we'd done that, haha!
There were also many games where the whole family could participate together,
so the three of us teamed up to complete the missions.

Participate in the Bingo Board Event and Review Event
On the other hand, there were some minor drawbacks.
✔ It was a bit of a shame that we couldn't challenge games we had already successfully completed.
I had already succeeded in some games that were a lot of fun, but
I wanted to play them again,
but it turned out I couldn't replay the games at all ^^;;
That was a bit of a bummer, haha.
✔ For preschool-aged children,
some games were quite challenging.
There were more missions than I expected that required understanding the rules,
so I felt it's recommended for children at least 7 years old and above.
At the Running Man Experience Center, there's a Bingo event,
so it was fun to complete Bingo lines by succeeding in the games.
Every time my child played a game,
they focused even more intently to try and get a Bingo,
and they ran around diligently to fill in that last square until the very end.

Throughout the game booths, there are machines where you can check your Bingo board,
so make sure to tag your wristband!
You can immediately check how many missions you've succeeded in
and how much time you have left.

Later, when you exit,
if you return your wristband,
you can check how many Bingo lines you've completed.
For 0 to 5 Bingo lines, you receive 1 badge.
Each of us completed 3 Bingo lines,
and we were able to receive a total of 3 badges.

You can freely choose your badges based on their design.

After the experience,
there was also a Naver review event happening.

If you write a review, they give you a snack pouch,
so I highly recommend participating if you visit.
It's a small gift, but it allowed my child to finish the day
with a happy feeling right up until the end.
60-minute vs. 90-minute Ticket: Which is Better?
When buying tickets for the Running Man Experience Center,
this is probably the biggest dilemma you'll face.
It certainly was for me!
Based on my personal experience, I'd say:
(For elementary school children)
If your child has low stamina
or is a preschooler - go for the 60-minute ticket.
If your child has iron stamina
and a competitive spirit - the 90-minute ticket is for them.
Highly recommended!!
My daughter is actually in 3rd grade,
but her stamina is in the bottom 10%... haha.
Still, just in case,
we booked the 90-minute ticket in advance,
but in the end, due to stamina issues ^^;;;
we only played for 60 minutes and then left. lol.
My daughter's friend is also in 3rd grade,
and she has great stamina and a competitive spirit.
That friend wanted to complete all the Bingo boards,
and challenged herself until the very end, saying even 90 minutes wasn't enough, haha!
And regardless of whether you choose 60 or 90 minutes,
if you're planning a trip to Gangneung during the hot summer,
I recommend combining your ticket purchase
with ARTE MUSEUM, a cool indoor media art exhibition!

Gangneung Running Man Experience Center: Fun for Adults Too! Recommended!

The Gangneung Running Man Experience Center was a course specifically for my daughter,
who's totally obsessed with the TV show Running Man these days! Haha!
But once we actually got there, even Mom and Dad found themselves breaking a sweat
and having a blast!
It's not just another indoor activity to pass the time;
it's about working together to solve missions,
where the whole family can run, laugh, and collaborate,
making it an even more unforgettable experience!
Especially if you have elementary school kids,
I truly can't recommend it enough! Haha!
Before you visit the Running Man Experience Center, I recommend checking for any available discounts
and the types of tickets on offer,
then making your reservation in advance.

The Gangneung Running Man Experience Center utilizes the St. John's Annex outdoor parking lot (Buildings A & B). The parking lot address is 298-7 Haean-ro, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. It takes approximately 3 minutes to walk to the experience center, and 2 hours of free parking are provided.
If you're an elementary school student with low stamina or a preschooler, we recommend the 60-minute option. For friends with strong stamina and a competitive spirit, the 90-minute option is recommended. The author's 3rd-grade daughter left after 60 minutes despite booking 90 minutes, while a friend with good physical fitness said 90 minutes wasn't enough.
You choose the difficulty level upon initial entry. We recommend the beginner level for elementary school students and women. Once selected, the difficulty cannot be changed midway, so please choose carefully.
There's a Bingo event where you complete bingo lines by succeeding in games within the experience center. If you complete 0-5 bingo lines, you'll receive 1 badge, which can be verified when you return your bracelet upon exit. Additionally, there's a review event where you receive a snack pouch for writing a Naver review.
