Even after moving back to Seoul from Gangneung,
a few bakeries still linger in my mind,
but Gangneung Pbangdabang is undeniably number one.
Personally, I'm not usually a huge fan of cream buns,
but Gangneung Pbangdabang's cream buns are simply the GOAT!
I visited at least five times while living in Gangneung,
and my colleagues even ordered them via delivery
to Seoul and Busan multiple times, haha!
I'll share the store information at the very end.
Gangneung Pbangdabang has so many types of cream buns
that I recommend going with several people...
Because you absolutely need to try them all.
It's hard to choose because everything looks delicious,
and since I went five times, I was able to
try a variety of them, lol.

how do you *make* these?!
Normally, if you eat one cream bun,
you'd expect it to be heavy, right?
You'd probably only have one.
But honestly, you can keep eating them, and they don't feel heavy at all!
Even Mammos bread is usually too sweet for me to enjoy regularly,
but Gangneung Pbangdabang's Mammos bread, despite its size,
has absolutely no cloying richness.

However, there's one thing to be careful about:
If you indulge too much, you might just hit your all-time heaviest weight! 😣
Gangneung Pbangdabang is incredibly popular,
so especially during peak season and on weekends,
expect to arrive at opening time and still face a wait.
I always visited on weekday afternoons, so I never had to wait, but that's my little secret! 😉
A colleague who went on a weekend
was completely surprised, saying they had no idea it was such a popular spot, haha!
Since Gangneung Pbangdabang operates on a
'bake fresh, sell fresh' principle,
you should generally be able to get your desired bread during most seasons
(excluding summer).
However, be aware that later in the afternoon,
the bread might be sold out.
Gangneung Pbangdabang offers both in-store takeaway
and a delivery service.
If you purchase over ~$21 in-store,
you can place a delivery order!
However, during the hot summer months,
the cream might spoil, so they temporarily suspend delivery.
It will likely resume when the weather cools down.
For those outside of Gangneung,
they also occasionally open up 'guerrilla' delivery orders via Instagram DMs.
I've followed them and am eagerly waiting for the next delivery announcement, lol!
