Haslla Art World is a multi-faceted art complex that directly overlooks the East Sea.
It's an expansive land art space, built on a mountain overlooking the ocean,
and was first opened in 2003 by a sculptor couple.
Since then, it has hosted a variety of contemporary art exhibitions and international programs,
showcasing new exhibits every year.

From the Haslla Museum, its main indoor exhibition space,
to the 33,000-pyeong outdoor sculpture park (approx. 27 acres),
and even the Pinocchio Museum, perfect for visiting with kids!
Beyond that, you'll also find an ocean-view museum hotel and
restaurants and cafes where you can relax and recharge.

With a museum, sculpture park, and a specialized museum all in one place,
it's an ideal spot for a full day of exploration.
Haslla Art World is also pet-friendly!
However, please note that pets must be carried indoors,
and due to the many stairs, strollers and wheelchairs
might find movement a bit challenging. Please keep this in mind when planning your visit.

03. My Inspiring Journey Through Haslla Art World

Upon arriving at Haslla Art World,
the first thing that greets your eyes is the breathtaking expanse of the East Sea.
Among Korea's three seas,
I truly believe the East Sea is the most beautiful.
On the day I visited, under a clear sky,
the jade-colored ocean shimmered with dazzling brilliance.

Outdoors, at the 'Circle Photo Zone' and the Skywalk,
you'll find various photo zones where you can capture incredible shots
with this stunning East Sea backdrop.

At the Circle Photo Zone, the vibrant blue sea fits perfectly within the round frame,
making every photo look like a postcard.
While the wait can be a bit challenging, this photo zone is absolutely worth it.
Even if there's a small queue,
I highly recommend taking at least 2-3 photos – you won't regret it!

On the Skywalk, you'll feel like you're standing right above the ocean,
and the view alone is incredibly refreshing.
For the Skywalk, I recommend visiting during midday when the sun is shining brightly,
rather than in the late afternoon!

The outdoor sculpture park is also a wonderful place to stroll,
breathing in the refreshing sea air.
As you wander through the park, admiring the artworks scattered everywhere,
and gaze out at the ocean, time truly flies by.
However, on rainy days, outdoor viewing might be limited.
But don't worry,
in such cases, you can simply focus your exploration on the Haslla Museum.

The Haslla Museum features all indoor exhibitions,
with different exhibition spaces unfolding on each floor.
The atmosphere changes with every floor you move to,
which I think kids will absolutely adore!

What's more, new special exhibitions are held every season,
meaning you can encounter different artworks each time you visit.
It's not just paintings casually displayed;
artworks are thoughtfully showcased throughout the entire space.

Overall, it took me
about 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore Haslla Art World.
Since there are quite a few stairs, if you're visiting with children,
I recommend holding their hand and exploring at a leisurely pace.

What makes it especially great for families visiting Gangneung is
**the Pinocchio Museum and all the vibrant, colorful sculptures**.
With so many brightly colored sculptures,
kids are absolutely going to love it,
and it's fantastic for taking photos at the designated spots,
making use of all the fun props!

And the main attraction, the Haslla Art Museum,
is entirely indoors, which means
if you're looking for things to do on a rainy day in Gangneung,
I'd definitely head straight to Haslla Art World!
It's a fantastic, weather-proof destination,
a popular Gangneung travel course, Haslla Art World.
Make sure to grab your admission tickets at the best possible price for a truly smart and memorable visit!
