That's right, it's the 'Fuller's Brewery'!
It includes a guided tour and unlimited tastings, and what's more,
you can even use your 'London Pass' for entry!

First, let's talk about how to book your Fuller's Brewery tour.

Keep in mind that Fuller's Brewery is located on the outskirts of the city, so

Next, whether you're using the London Pass or not,
to make a reservation, please visit the
brewery's official website below.
Scroll down and click 'Book Now' for the GRIFFIN brewery tour. London Pass users
should click 'Redeen a voucher'.
Then, as you can see in the photo above,
you'll see a 'London Pass' indicator.
Just click on it.
Next, under '1 voucher for 1 person,'
select the number of visitors, then enter your London Pass's unique
Reference number.
After that, simply choose your date and tour time.
Finally, just fill in your name, email, and phone number
and hit confirm reservation to complete your booking.
You'll receive your booking number via email,
so please make sure to enter your email address correctly.
Next, I'll walk you through the Fuller's Brewery tour course.
On the day of my visit, there were a total of six participants on the tour.
We started in the seminar room with a quick ice-breaker and
an introduction to the brewery's history.
What was really interesting was that Fuller's Brewery is currently
owned by Asahi of Japan.
It really brought home the significant influence of Japanese beer.
📍 We then headed into the tasting room to learn about its past history and
get a brief overview of the beer production process, among other things.
Our guide said something like this:
'Everyone's probably waiting for the tasting anyway, so I'll wrap this up quickly.'
Even though it's a structured tour, it was cool that our guide had
the discretion to adjust the timing like that.
📍 Next, we got to see inside the factory.
Since it's an actively operating factory,
it was quite noisy. We were allowed to take photos freely inside,
as long as we didn't photograph the workers.
First, on the first floor, they gave a simple explanation, accompanied by diagrams,
of the beer-making process.
Being able to see the overall flow in pictures
helped me understand, even with the complex English explanations.
Afterward, we got to taste the raw ingredients used for different beers
and experience the difference in flavors. It was fascinating that the ingredient for dark beer
actually had a bitter, cacao-like taste.
I really liked that it wasn't just a passive listening experience;
we could actively participate like this.
The factory has approximately a 4-5 story structure,
so we went up floor by floor, listening to explanations of the process.
It was a small group tour, and instead of just observing from afar,
we had the chance to hear explanations right next to the actual production line,
which made it an even more special experience.
📍 And then, the long-awaited tasting time finally arrived!
We had the chance to sample around 20 different types of beer for about 30 minutes,
all unlimited!
What made Fuller's Brewery even more special was not only
the wide variety but also the opportunity to taste 'Real Ale',
which undergoes fermentation and maturation in casks.
Unlike the usual cold ale we often drink,
the slightly lukewarm cask ale
had a slightly weaker carbonation but was incredibly smooth to drink,
and it featured a rich, deep flavor.
For your information, you can't easily find cask ale like this
outside of the UK!
There were so many types of beer, but I managed to try a little bit of almost every kind,
and since each one tasted slightly different,
I had an absolutely blissful time.
Fuller's Brewery was truly one of the most memorable destinations
I experienced in London.
Since it's not a super popular tourist spot, I loved that the tours were small-group,
and the guide and other tour participants were all so nice, which made it even more special.
Also, even though it's a factory, the fact that it wasn't completely modernized
was actually a more impressive point for me.
Finally, although the tasting was for a short period,
being able to drink unlimited amounts was incredibly satisfying.
I got to try a little bit of every single kind of beer from Fuller's Brewery,
so I feel like I definitely got my money's worth for the tour!
This place is still genuinely under the radar for many.
If you're a beer lover or if you're using the London Pass,
I highly recommend you pay it a visit!
