An honest review of the Four Points by Sheraton Tianjin Jiefang Bridge. Discover this stunning 1934 historic bank-turned-hotel in the heart of Tianjin.

A brand-new Marriott property that opened in Tianjin, China in 2025:
Four Points by Sheraton Tianjin, Jiefang Bridge
Here is my completely honest review after a self-funded 4-night stay!
✔️ Just a 25-minute Didi ride from Tianjin Binhai International Airport to the hotel,
a quick 5-minute walk to Jiefang Bridge and the Century Clock,
and only a 10-minute stroll across the river to Tianjin Railway Station!

Right next door, you'll find a 7-Eleven, Chagee tea shop, shaved ice spots, and malatang joints, not to mention
the metro station is directly across from the hotel!
Since it's right in the bustling heart of the city with incredibly easy access to anywhere in Tianjin, ✅️the location is absolutely top-tier.
Because it’s a brand-new hotel, there aren't many detailed reviews out there yet. So, I’ve put together a thorough guide covering everything from check-in to a room tour!
Four Points by Sheraton Tianjin, Jiefang Bridge: Lobby

I recently spent an amazing 8 days and 7 nights (!) in Tianjin, China.
Four Points by Sheraton Tianjin, Jiefang Bridge is actually
housed in a beautifully renovated Postal Savings & Trust Bank building originally constructed back in 1934.

The original courtyard-style lobby has been beautifully preserved,
giving off a gorgeous blend of classic heritage and sleek, modern design.
There’s something so special and romantic about staying in a historic landmark! Haha.
Plus, it comes with all the perks of a brand-new facility!

As a side note, I had some business at a nearby Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) branch,
and I was amazed by how much its architecture and overall vibe resembled this hotel.
As it turns out, the exact same architect designed both buildings!!!

One of the lobby walls features an exhibition showcasing the building's historical significance, its past and present looks,
and fascinating details about the architect, who was actually the very first Chinese student to study architecture in Italy.
It’s truly impressive how they captured such an elegant, authentic European aesthetic without any tacky elements...
Check-in: 3:00 PM
Check-out: 12:00 PM

I didn't have massive expectations since it's a brand-new hotel and things can sometimes be chaotic at the start,
but the staff was incredibly friendly, flexible, and lightning-fast with their service!
They happily watched our bags for us, so we could drop them off and head straight out to explore the city.
There’s also complimentary welcome tea and mints available in the lobby!
✅️ Refundable deposit required at check-in
✅️ Self-service laundry room & 24/7 fitness center on-site
✅️ No swimming pool

Taking a moment to appreciate the stunning lobby space after checking in.

There's a neat display mapping out Tianjin’s winding rivers and the hotel’s location,
which highlights nearby attractions and helps you get your bearings.

They also have a versatile space that functions as the breakfast restaurant in the morning,
and transitions into a cozy café and bar in the afternoon.

✅️ There are two elevators in total,
and the one on the right is on the cozier, smaller side.

Even the outdoor ashtrays were kept perfectly clean,
which really showed how hard-working the hotel staff are!

Since the hotel doesn't have a massive number of rooms, there's barely any wait for the elevators.
The hallways are super clean too!

Comfort Twin Bedroom (Superior Double Room)

The room I was assigned this time was Room 508, right at the end of the hall.
It seems to go by both "Comfort Twin Bedroom" and "Superior Double Bedroom"!

This is the overall vibe of the room!
Since it's a new build, everything feels incredibly fresh and clean,
and the warm lighting paired with the sheer chiffon curtains gives it such a cozy, dreamy ambiance.

When looking at photos online, I wondered if the space between the TV and the bed might feel a bit tight,
✅️ but it was not cramped at all! There was plenty of space to move around and relax comfortably.
They made great use of the space!

The electric kettle and bottled water.
✅️ They were incredibly generous with the complimentary water, restocking it daily.
For a 2-person stay, they provided 4 room-temperature bottles and 2 chilled ones in the fridge 👍
And the fridge actually kept things quite cold!

✅️ As a Marriott welcome gift,
they prepared Tianjin's famous local specialty snack, Mahua (fried dough twists), along with a lovely Tianjin postcard!

✅️ Mugs and wine glasses are also provided,
with tea and coffee replenished daily.

The AC thermostat and luggage rack are also perfectly set up.
✅️ The AC works like a charm!

The quality of the bed and bedding gets an absolute pass!
You get two pillows of the same size per guest.

Since the master lights, curtain controls, and charging ports are all centered right by the bed,
it's super convenient to adjust everything right before going to sleep.
Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi does slow down quite a bit when using a VPN, which is pretty much expected.

✅️ Screen casting is available
✅️ Live TV channels are mostly Chinese

Along with the comfortable armchair, the desk was perfect for getting some work done.
Its leather finish adds a real touch of luxury,
and as for the power outlets, ✅️ universal outlets mean you can plug in your devices directly without needing an adapter!
✅️ Room service is available
They even had mosquito repellent ready in the room, which felt incredibly thoughtful!

The elegant chiffon curtains cannot be pulled manually;
you open and close them using the curtain control buttons right by the bedside.
Modern tech at its finest!
(To be honest, I only figured this out on the second day 😅)

The generously sized wardrobe
can be closed off with sliding full-length mirrors on either side.

✅️ This is where you'll find the safe, hangers, bathrobes, shoehorn, slippers, and laundry service info!
Besides the paid laundry service, ✅️ free self-service laundry is also available in the laundry room.
✅️ There's even a mini steam iron provided.
The Bathroom

The bathroom also felt even more spacious than it looked in the photos.
The toilet is on the left, the vanity is in the middle, and the shower booth is on the right—
and the shower area is huge!
(Apparently, bathtubs are only available in the Premier Room types.)

The toiletries are all nicely unified under the brand ACTIV,
including the body lotion!
✅️ A shower cap, cotton swabs, cotton pads, and a toothbrush/toothpaste set are provided as standard,
and there's an illuminated vanity mirror which makes getting ready so easy.

There are medium and large towels stored underneath,
and the hair dryer has some serious power!

The shower room is cleverly designed with a slight step-down, so water doesn't overflow at all.
There is plenty of space to set down your personal toiletries,
and I absolutely loved how roomy the entire space was.
✅️ The water pressure is absolutely amazing,
and they have both a rain shower and a standard handheld shower head!
The silhouettes are barely visible, so you can use it without any awkwardness even if you're traveling with acquaintances!
Room View

Four Points by Sheraton Tianjin, Jiefang Bridge boasts an absolutely fantastic location!
Since we got a corner room, one side featured a ✅️ subway station and plaza view,

while the side near the table gave us a ✅️ Century Clock and Jiefang Bridge view!
Thanks to the Jiefang Bridge view, we could fully enjoy the stunning Tianjin nightscape right from our room!👍
Summary & Pro Tips

✅️ The surroundings are quite bright, so I highly recommend using the blackout curtains when sleeping!
✅️ Since it's right next to a main road, the soundproofing is a bit weak. If you're a sensitive sleeper, I strongly recommend bringing earplugs!

As a brand-new hotel, the facilities and room conditions were incredibly clean and fresh,
and though the street noise soundproofing was a tiny bit disappointing,
everything else—including the service, location, room, and amenities—was absolutely satisfying!👍

It takes about 25 minutes by Didi from Tianjin Airport to the hotel. Tianjin Railway Station is about a 10-minute walk across the river.
Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM. A luggage storage service is also available before check-in.
There is no swimming pool in the hotel. However, a free self-service laundry room and a 24-hour fitness center are available on the 6th floor.
Yes, you can plug Korean devices directly into the room's outlets without a separate adapter. Additionally, a mini steam iron and plenty of bottled water are provided as standard in the room.
Because the hotel is located next to a major road, the soundproofing from the outside is somewhat weak. If you are sensitive to noise, we recommend bringing earplugs for sleeping.
