Just mention your room number for entry! We found the restaurant staff to be incredibly friendly and welcoming.
First things first, the restaurant space is wonderfully **✅️ airy and pleasant thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows**! While not overwhelmingly vast, the seating arrangements are quite diverse, offering a variety of spots to enjoy your meal.
Should all the inner seats be occupied, the **indoor lounge area even transforms into additional seating** temporarily – ensuring everyone finds a comfortable spot!
During our three-night stay, we opted for seats near the food once, and chose the outer seats with a view on the other two occasions.
**(Pro Tip for Global Explorers: China has many early risers, so if you dream of enjoying your breakfast with a stunning river view through those panoramic windows, I highly recommend arriving extra early!)**
As a little fun fact, it's a cherished St. Regis tradition to present a unique, signature Bloody Mary at each of their properties worldwide – a delightful local twist on a classic!
Though I didn't try it myself (not really my drink!), you can actually admire the incredible array of St. Regis Bloody Mary cocktails from across China, all beautifully illustrated on the placemats!
Coffee, Tea, and Juices
What was truly special was that, in addition to the regularly provided, daily changing tea,
✅️you could personally choose and blend various tea leaves to create your own unique brew!
A definite highlight for any tea enthusiast~
✅️For coffee lovers, there's a machine, and iced coffee is also available.
Additionally, ✅️freshly squeezed fruit juices, various syrups, and lemon slices are provided.
Even the water is Evian, adding a touch of luxury!
The Bakery Spread
The quality of the bakery items was surprisingly good,
and it was one of the most impressive parts of this breakfast experience.
✅️A variety of jams and spreads are also provided,
✅️along with croissants, Danish pastries, Hong Kong pineapple buns, waffles, bread pudding, red bean buns, and more.
✅️You'll find matcha, chocolate & marble pound cakes, muffins, donuts, sweet pastries, and other delightful treats.
From savory breakfast breads to sweet dessert pastries,
the variety and quality were truly impressive!

My favorite ice plant was available every other day, which I happily loaded up on! Haha.

Tianjin Local-Style Breakfast Delights
One of the most impressive aspects of the breakfast at St. Regis Tianjin was
✅️the chance to savor authentic Tianjin local dishes right at breakfast!
It's a fantastic opportunity to try unfamiliar dishes – ones you might hesitate to try on the streets or in local restaurants –
all within the comfortable setting of a 5-star hotel.
A full spread of Northern Chinese breakfast items was available, including Jianbing, various dumplings, dim sum, congee, tea eggs (chayedan), and tofu.
There were also various traditional Chinese pickled side dishes to complement your meal.
Over my three-night stay, new dishes subtly rotated into the offerings.
Even Tianjin's famous specialties like ✅️Jianbing Guozi, fried red bean glutinous rice cakes, Bing, Youtiao, and Tangyubing were excellent quality!
If your timing is right, you can enjoy them hot and crispy straight from the kitchen.
The Live Noodle Station
On one side, there's a ✅️ made-to-order noodle bar where noodles are cooked fresh upon order.
They even make the noodles themselves, which is fun to watch!
✅️You can choose from 3-4 types of noodles and broth, have them cooked, and then add your desired toppings and seasonings.
Among the options, there's even Shin Ramyun, which will be a pleasant surprise for Korean food lovers!
(There's also napa cabbage kimchi near the salad bar, which pairs perfectly with it.)

Hot Food & Western Cuisine
Additionally, there were Chinese-style soups, fried rice, meat dishes, and more, all perfectly satisfying.
With soups, an egg station, sausages, bacon, wedge potatoes, and more,
the Western breakfast menu is also very well-equipped.
Fruit
While the fruits may vary by season, during my visit, they offered ✅️ whole apples, bananas, peaches, and more!
I got to indulge in all the fruits that have become quite expensive back in Korea.
Grapes, dragon fruit, Hami melon, regular melon, watermelon, and more were generously prepared in slices,
and I was absolutely delighted to try ✅️ seasonal fruits like mulberries!

Overall, it was a truly satisfying breakfast experience at The St. Regis Tianjin, living up to its 5-star hotel reputation!
