If you're staying at The St. Regis, this daily spectacle is an absolute must-see: the renowned Sabrage Ritual!

​

This captivating event unfolds daily at 6 PM in The St. Regis Hotel lobby (do check, as times can change).

It's one of their truly iconic traditions, so I absolutely made sure to be there on time to witness it!

The entire hotel, complete with its impeccable butler service, already radiates an air of classic luxury.

Then, the staff, with an almost 'British-like' crispness (if you can imagine it!), began marching across the lobby.

They then chose a lucky guest to participate in an incredible performance – saber-ing the cork right off a champagne bottle with a sword! LOL!

Though a brief daily ritual, it was such a delightful and unique experience to share sparkling wine with everyone!

The St. Regis Tianjin Butler Service

And here's a fantastic perk: every single room at The St. Regis comes with the brand's renowned and highly acclaimed butler service!

Beyond the Sabrage ceremony, you can simply reach out to the butler service desk or even use WeChat to unlock a world of convenience:

24-hour coffee and tea service, complimentary pressing for two garments per day of your stay, and even packing and unpacking assistance!

I personally took advantage of the pressing service, and while it took a bit of time, my clothes came back perfectly crisp and ready to wear – it was incredibly convenient, haha!

Happy Hour Lounge

Next, let's dive into the Happy Hour Lounge, a delightful spot I experienced firsthand!

Gaining entry was easy – simply present the voucher you receive at check-in.

During my stay, the RIVIERA Bar on the first floor was transformed into the lounge area, but it's worth noting that this might vary depending on your visit.

Although it's typically operated as a bar, giving it a calm and classic ambiance,

it was almost fully packed throughout happy hour.

Lounge Food & Cheese, and Snacks

The lounge offered a selection of light bites,

and while it wasn't vastly different from breakfast, the **bakery items**, which were excellent at breakfast, were great this time too.

Rather than a massive buffet with endless options,

it was a perfect menu for light meals or enjoying with drinks!

Especially with ✅️ **cheeses and light snacks** available, it was perfect for enjoying with wine or other drinks in the evening!

With a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages like ✅️ white wine, red wine, vodka, whiskey, Coke, Sprite, sparkling water, and orange juice,

it seems like a perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing, casual drink!

As a bonus, enjoying the stunning views of the Haihe River from the outdoor terrace is definitely one of The St. Regis Tianjin's major highlights!

The St. Regis Tianjin Swimming Pool (M Floor)

Opening Hours: 6:30 AM - 10:00 PM

The St. Regis Tianjin's swimming pool and fitness center are located on the M floor underground,

and it felt incredibly spacious, not at all cramped.

A **swimming pool** is, of course, a must-have at any 5-star hotel!

And a huge advantage is that it operates from early morning until late at night.​

The St. Regis Tianjin's swimming pool is an indoor pool,

boasting a clean, modern atmosphere, and it was even better knowing how diligently the staff maintained it.

Naturally, the loungers were available for complimentary use, and I loved that towels and bottled water were promptly provided!

During my visit, it wasn't crowded at all, allowing me to truly unwind and enjoy a leisurely hotel retreat.

With a depth of 1.5 meters, it was perfect for some serious swimming.

Don't forget to bring your swimming cap – it's mandatory!

Beyond the swimming lanes, there was also a wonderfully warm hot spring area, perfect for a relaxing soak – an absolute bonus!

The shower rooms were impeccably maintained, making for a truly comfortable experience at

the magnificent pool at The St. Regis Tianjin!

The St. Regis Tianjin Fitness Center (M Floor)

Operating Hours: 24 hours

You'll find the fitness center just a half-floor down from the M level.

The fitness center space was surprisingly well-equipped and exceptionally pleasant!

Operating 24 hours a day, you can fit in a workout whenever inspiration strikes.

First off, distinct from the main fitness center,

you'll find a spacious and pristine yoga and stretching room,

The main gym area is thoughtfully equipped with a wide range of machines, from essential cardio equipment to comprehensive weight training gear.

The equipment is well-spaced, ensuring a comfortable and uncrowded workout experience. 😉

Water and fresh towels are also readily available,

and the impeccable maintenance ensures it never feels stuffy, even though it's located below ground.

This would be incredibly useful for anyone visiting Tianjin for business or enjoying an extended stay!

My Impressions of The St. Regis Tianjin After Exploring Its Facilities

The St. Regis Tianjin, while not gleaming with the freshness of a brand-new building, felt more like a beautifully preserved, classic 5-star hotel that is impeccably maintained despite its age.

With its elegant sabrage ritual, a lounge where you can savor light refreshments and drinks, and beautifully maintained swimming pool and fitness facilities,

it was absolutely recommendable as a perfect destination for a luxurious hotel retreat where you can truly relax and immerse yourself in the ambiance!

Especially if you've been curious about the St. Regis brand itself,

(Especially since Tianjin is considered one of the more affordable branches of the brand)

By not just staying in the rooms but also enjoying these fantastic facilities, you'll really get to experience the full charm of the hotel~~

Personally, if you're looking to experience a 5-star hotel like the St. Regis in Tianjin, this place is definitely worth considering.

There might even be days when you can snag a great deal,

so instead of just assuming it'll be expensive because it's St. Regis, I highly recommend you compare the actual prices for your travel dates!
