Breakfast Restaurant: 1F The St. Regis Hotel · Riverbank Restaurant (瑞吉酒店·河岸餐厅)
Operating Hours
Mon - Fri 06:00 ~10:00
Sat - Sun 06:00 ~10:30

Just mention your room number for entry!
The restaurant staff were very friendly.

First off, the ✅️ restaurant space feels wonderfully airy thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows.
While not overwhelmingly spacious, the seating arrangements are quite varied!

If the inner seats fill up, the indoor lounge area temporarily transforms into additional seating.
During our three-night stay, we sat next to the food once and enjoyed the outdoor seating twice.
(China has many early risers, so if you want to dine with a river view through the floor-to-ceiling windows, I highly recommend visiting early).

As a side note, it's a St. Regis tradition to feature a unique Bloody Mary at each of its locations.
I wasn't a big fan, so I didn't try it, but,
you could see St. Regis Bloody Mary cocktails from across China on the placemat!
Coffee, Tea & Juices

What was particularly interesting was that besides the standard daily changing teas offered,
✅️you could actually choose and blend your own tea leaves! That was a standout feature.
A major plus for any tea enthusiast!

✅️And for coffee lovers, there's a machine and even iced coffee available.
Beyond that, you'll also find ✅️freshly squeezed fruit juices, various syrups, and lemon slices.
Even the water is Evian, which definitely adds a luxurious touch!
Bakery

The bakery quality was surprisingly good,
which was one of the most impressive aspects of this breakfast.
✅️You'll find a fantastic selection of jams and spreads,
along with ✅️croissants, danishes, Hong Kong pineapple buns, waffles, bread pudding, sweet red bean buns, and more.

✅️Matcha, chocolate & marble pound cakes, muffins, donuts, and other sweet pastries were also available.
From savory meal breads to delightful dessert pastries,
the variety was impressive, and the quality was truly excellent!
Cold Foods & Salads

✅️You'll find cold cuts, cheeses, various pickled vegetables,
and all the fixings to build your own custom salad.
My beloved ice plant was available every other day, and I happily indulged! 😄

✅️A wide variety of cereals, milk, and yogurts are also available.
Tianjin Local Style Breakfast

One of the most impressive aspects of the St. Regis Tianjin's breakfast was
that you can savor ✅️authentic Tianjin local dishes right at breakfast!
The advantage is that you can try a variety of unfamiliar dishes that you might hesitate to try at street stalls or local restaurants,
all within the comfort of a 5-star hotel.

Northern Chinese breakfast specialties like Jianbing, various dumplings, dim sum, congee, eggs (like tea eggs), and tofu were all meticulously prepared,
along with an array of traditional Chinese pickles to complement your meal.
Over my three-night stay, I noticed a subtle rotation of new menu items.

Tianjin's famous specialties like ✅️Jianbingguozi, fried sweet red bean glutinous rice cakes, Bing, Youtiao, and Tangyoubing were all on offer,
and the quality was fantastic!
Catch them at the right moment, and you can enjoy them hot and perfectly crispy.
Live Noodle Station

On one side, you'll find a ✅️ freshly-made noodle station, where noodles are cooked right when you order them.
It's quite a treat to watch them making the noodles fresh!

✅️You can pick from 3-4 types of noodles and broth, then have them boiled and topped with your favorite ingredients and seasonings.
Among the options, you'll even find Shin Ramyun, which will be a welcome sight for any Korean food lover!
(There's also napa cabbage kimchi near the salad bar, perfect for pairing!)

Hot Foods & Western Cuisine

Beyond that, you'll find Chinese-style soups, fried rice, and various meat dishes, all excellent choices!
Soups, an egg station, sausages, bacon, wedge fries, and more –
the Western breakfast menu is also incredibly well-stocked.
Fruits

While the fruit selection might vary by season, during my visit, they generously offered ✅️ whole apples, bananas, and peaches!
It was wonderful to indulge in so many fresh fruits, especially since they can be quite pricey back home!
Grapes, dragon fruit, Hami melon, regular melon, and watermelon were also generously prepared in slices, and
I was absolutely delighted to try ✅️seasonal fruits like mulberries!
Final Thoughts

Overall, the breakfast at St. Regis Tianjin was incredibly generous and thoroughly satisfying, truly living up to 5-star hotel expectations!

If you're planning a trip to Tianjin, I definitely recommend opting for the breakfast-included package!
Given the nature of 5-star hotels in China, it's worth noting that 💡promotions and benefits can vary slightly across different booking platforms,
so once your itinerary is confirmed, I highly recommend comparing prices on Trip.com & Agoda first to snag the absolute best deal!
