I recently booked a trip to Sapporo,
but with an 8:00 AM flight, I was stressing about how to get to the airport on time.
So, I decided to book a stay in a Double Shower Room
at Darakhyu, the capsule hotel in Incheon Airport Terminal 2.
Honestly, if you need to spend the night right at the airport,
there is absolutely no better option than Darakhyu.

Darakhyu is located on the B1 level
right as you exit the Incheon Airport Terminal 2 subway station.
(Bonus: You don't even need to take an escalator after passing through the ticket gates!)

To help you find your way,
here is a quick map of the route.
This is what it looks like right when you step out of the subway ticket gates.
Since I arrived late at night, all the shops were already closed.
After exiting the gates, just keep walking straight.
You'll pass Paris Croissant and Jamba Juice on your left.
Keep going, and you'll pass a second Paris Croissant, Baskin Robbins, and Shake Shack on your left!
Once you reach Shake Shack, turn left
just like in the photo below, and you are practically there.
After turning left at Shake Shack and walking straight,
you'll spot the "Capsule Hotel" sign!
Just a few more steps forward to the left, and you'll arrive at
Darakhyu in Incheon Airport Terminal 2.
[Darakhyu Double Shower Room Review]
As soon as you step inside Darakhyu Terminal 2,
the reception desk is right there to greet you.
Even though I checked in after midnight,
there were still two staff members on duty!
I just gave them my name and phone number,
and checking in was incredibly quick.
I was assigned to Room 356, a Double Shower Room,
and my room key came in a little card sleeve
printed with the Darakhyu Wi-Fi name and password.
There was also a lovely lounge area in the lobby where you can sit back and relax.
It's the perfect spot to sit on the sofa and relax
before/after checking in or during your stay.
Quick Tip 📌 At Darakhyu, you can choose between a 3-hour Day Time slot and a 12-hour Night stay! If you just need a quick rest and a shower, the 3-hour Day Time option is highly recommended. (Day Time Check-in: between 08:00 and 17:00) |

If you turn left past the reception counter,
you'll find the communal showers and restrooms.
Even the Double Shower Room doesn't have its own toilet,
so you'll want to use these facilities!
There were capsule hotel rooms tucked away everywhere—
Darakhyu at Incheon Airport is actually way bigger than I expected!
Finally stepping inside our capsule!
The Double Shower Room features a queen-sized bed,
with a sink and private shower right next to it.
While the bed wasn't super plush,
it was lightyears more comfortable than trying to sleep on the airport floor,
letting us catch some solid rest.
Inside the shower booth, they provide a trio of bath essentials:
shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
I loved that I could wash up without having to
rummage through my suitcase!
Right next to the bed, there's a large mirror
and a sink.
As for amenities, Darakhyu provides
one towel and one bottle of water per person.
It was a little disappointing that items like toothbrushes,
bar soap, cotton swabs, and combs weren't provided.
(Just a heads up, there's no mini-fridge either!)
But on the bright side, a hairdryer is provided,
and with USB ports plus two power outlets,
charging our phones was super convenient.
Mounted on the wall right by the bed are a reading light,
master light switches, heating controls, and a speaker.
Believe it or not, the speaker is actually Harman Kardon!
It's absolutely perfect for playing some relaxing tunes while winding down.

When booking on the site above,
you can choose between
a 3-hour 'Day Use' or a 12-hour 'Overnight' stay!
Please note that at Incheon Airport Capsule Hotel Darakhyu,
if your arrival time falls between 20:00 and 08:00,
the Overnight rate will be applied
even if you only plan to stay for 3 hours.
If you are booking an Overnight stay on the website,
simply adjust the default check-in and check-out dates
to match your actual travel schedule.
Looking at the calendar, weekends around late February
and early March are already fully booked.
After selecting your dates, just fill out the required information
to complete your reservation. It's as simple as that!

Darakhyu is located on the 1st basement floor (B1) of the Incheon Airport Terminal 2 Subway Station. Go straight out of the ticket gates and turn left at the Shake Shack burger restaurant to find the capsule hotel.
The Double Shower Room has a shower and a sink inside, but no toilet or refrigerator. To use a toilet, you must use the public restroom located to the left of the reception counter.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in the shower, along with a towel, one bottle of water per person, and a hairdryer. Items such as toothbrushes, bar soap, cotton swabs, and combs are not provided, so you need to bring your own.
You can choose between a 3-hour block during the day (Day Time) and a 12-hour block at night (Night). The rate for the Double Shower Room is ~$26 for 3 hours during the day and ~$54 for 12 hours at night.
Free cancellation is available until 18:00 on the day before check-in; cancellations are not permitted after this time. Additionally, because Darakhyu is located in the public area of the airport, transit passengers cannot stay there.
