Da Nang Local Restaurants 2026: 4 Hidden Foodie Gems
Looking for the best local food in Da Nang? Skip the tourist traps and discover 4 incredible hidden restaurants for authentic Banh Mi, Nem Lui, and Bun Cha.
My Ultimate Da Nang Local Food Guide
If there's one thing I travel for, it's the food...
I'm definitely someone who prioritizes an authentic meal over a packed sightseeing itinerary.
If you're tired of the usual tourist traps popping up on every search and want to dive into the real, vibrant culinary scene of Vietnam,
you need to read this to the end.
Here is my curated list of Da Nang's hidden gems.
I've gathered only the best local spots that offer incredible value and unforgettable flavors! :)
The Best Local Restaurants in Da Nang
1. Quán Phú Hồng

📍 Quán Phú Hồng
19 Yên Bái, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng 550000 Vietnam
Hours
10:30 AM ~ 10:00 PM
(Closed for break 2:00 PM ~ 4:00 PM)
This Nem Lụi spot was my husband's number one pick even before we boarded the plane.
Nem Lụi is a traditional dish of grilled pork skewers that you wrap in rice paper with fresh herbs and veggies.
They grill the meat to order over charcoal, so it's guaranteed to be mouthwateringly good.

We ordered items 1, 2, and 3 from the menu.
The best way to eat Nem Lụi?
Pile the meat and greens onto your rice paper, roll it up tight,
and dunk it generously into their signature dipping sauce!

The pork has a sweet and savory glaze, reminiscent of a perfectly caramelized sausage, so it's incredibly approachable even if it's your first time trying Vietnamese cuisine.
The greens are mostly mild—no overpowering cilantro—making it a real crowd-pleaser.
Personally, I highly recommend adding slices of tart green mango to your roll for that perfect flavor balance! :)
They were also super quick to refill our veggie basket whenever it got low.

We also tried the Bún Thịt Nướng (cold noodle salad). It felt a bit like the Nem Lụi ingredients just tossed over rice noodles.
To be honest, it was just okay for us.
If we go back, we'll definitely stick to ordering more Nem Lụi!

Out of all the local eateries we visited in Da Nang, this was by far the cleanest.
The owner clearly takes hygiene very seriously.
It's delicious, cheap, and spotless. The only minor drawback?
There's no AC, only fans...
I'd recommend visiting during the cooler evening hours for the best experience! ^^
2. Banh Mi Co Tien

📍 Banh Mi Co Tien
Kiệt 80/10 Trần Phú, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng 550000 Vietnam
Hours
8:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM
This place is tucked away in an alley that makes you wonder if you're in the right spot.
But once inside, the shop is incredibly neat and—blessedly—has strong air conditioning.

While it's gotten somewhat popular with tourists lately,
I couldn't leave it off the list because it's hands down the No. 1 Banh Mi I've ever eaten.
Seriously, what is their secret with this Egg Banh Mi?
It looks so simple, but why is it so insanely good? ㅠㅠ

A warm, crusty, shatteringly crisp baguette stuffed with fluffy, cloud-like scrambled eggs.
It looks like an everyday sandwich, but it instantly became the Banh Mi of a lifetime for me.
I don't know if it's the bread, the eggs, or their secret sauce, but the harmony is absolute perfection.
Just a heads-up: it does come with cilantro, so be sure to ask them to hold it if you're not a fan.
3. Hai Coi

📍 Hai Coi - Charcoal Grilled Chicken Wings (Branch 4)
27-29 Ngũ Hành Sơn, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng 550000 Vietnam
Hours
4:00 PM ~ Midnight
They have a few locations around downtown Da Nang, and we visited Branch 4.
Besides their famous chicken wings, they offer a diverse menu including chicken feet and shrimp.
We just went for a quick late-night snack, so we stuck to the wings.

I definitely only ordered the "wings,"
but they serve them plump and attached to the drumettes!
The smoky, open-fire charcoal flavor is out of this world. It's an absolute must-try.
Anyone who loves a good barbecue will be obsessed with this.
They give you three different dipping sauces, all great, but my personal favorite was the simple salt mixed with a fresh squeeze of lime.
This place oozes rustic street food vibes, so naturally, there's no AC.
It's relatively clean for a street-side joint, but if you're very sensitive to hygiene, you might want to manage your expectations.
(There are trash bins next to the tables, but you'll occasionally spot some napkins rolling around on the floor.)
If the lack of AC or the street-side setting bothers you,
they do offer delivery through local food apps, which is a fantastic alternative.
It's a flavor kids will love, and it makes the ultimate late-night beer snack for adults.
4. Mộc Viên - Bún Chả Hà Nội

📍 Mộc Viên - Bún Chả Hà Nội
37-Lô 9 - Lý Thánh Tông - Phường An Hải Bắc - Q. Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng, 50000 Vietnam
Hours
6:00 AM ~ 9:00 PM

The ultimate spot for Bun Cha and Spring Rolls!
I love all Vietnamese food, but Bun Cha has a special place in my heart.
Dipping the noodles, fresh herbs, and savory pork into that tangy, sweet broth is just ♥
I didn't find this place through a travel blog;
I literally just scoured Google Maps for highly-rated spots near our hotel.

It has an adorable, atmospheric Vietnamese interior
AND it's an air-conditioned restaurant (which is a huge plus!).
We ordered 1 Pho, 2 Bun Cha, and 4 Spring Rolls.
The Pho was pretty standard, but the Bun Cha and Spring Rolls blew us away.
At around ~$1.80 (45,000 VND) for the Bun Cha and ~$1.00 (25,000 VND) for a Spring Roll,
you shouldn't expect fine dining plating, but the flavor-to-price ratio is off the charts!
We ordered a massive feast, left completely stuffed, and the bill was only ~$8.40 (210,000 VND).
Isn't that just unbelievable value? (And yes, that included a beer!)
Make sure to order the "Grilled Pork" Bun Cha so the meat comes soaking in that delicious broth, and definitely add the spring rolls on the side.
All the spring rolls were fantastic, but if I had to pick just one, get the crab!
It's a local joint but clean and air-conditioned, making it the perfect place to soak in the local vibes without sweating through your shirt.
The owner is also incredibly warm and friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. :)
The famous tourist restaurants in Da Nang are great, but there are so many incredibly cheap, delicious local spots.
I highly recommend swapping out a meal or two on your itinerary to experience these hidden gems.
I hope this Da Nang local food guide helps you have a delicious and unforgettable trip to Vietnam! :)
