Hey there, Global Explorers!
My recent trip to Chiang Mai wrapped up with a late evening flight, and as you might know, most of the shops and restaurants at Chiang Mai International Airport tend to close early. I wasn't keen on ending my amazing Thai adventure with a Burger King meal, so I decided to check out an airport lounge!

While there's a massage shop in the departure area, the prices were a bit steep for me. What I really wanted was a quiet place to unwind, grab a decent meal, use reliable Wi-Fi, and have access to clean restrooms. That's exactly what I found at the Coral Lounge at Chiang Mai Airport.
So, what did I love about it, and were there any downsides? Let's dive into my full review!

Chiang Mai International Airport, while not massive, sees a lot of international traffic.

Especially if you're flying with a budget airline or have a late-night departure, your waiting time at the airport can stretch out longer than you'd expect. In such cases, an airport lounge in Chiang Mai becomes a fantastic option!
The Coral Lounge was my chosen oasis during that long wait.

✈️ Coral Lounge Location
The Coral Lounge at Chiang Mai International Airport is conveniently located within the international departure area, right after you clear immigration and pass through the duty-free section.
It's easy to find once you've completed your departure procedures, with clear signage guiding the way. Even if it's your first time, you won't have trouble. Look for it right next to the massage shop!
🍽️ A Satisfying Buffet Spread
One of the highlights during my visit was the quality of the food. Many airport lounges offer just basic snacks, but the Coral Lounge surprised me. While the menu wasn't extensive, everything was fresh, clean, and genuinely tasty!

Here’s a taste of what was on offer:
✔ Fried rice and other authentic Thai dishes
✔ Pasta and simple Western-style options
✔ Sandwiches and baked goods
✔ Fresh fruits and delightful desserts
✔ Coffee and various non-alcoholic beverages
✔ Alcoholic drinks, including beer and wine

Having authentic Thai dishes available was a real treat, allowing me to savor the flavors of Thailand right up until the very end of my trip.
And here's a bonus: you can enjoy unlimited alcoholic beverages like beer and wine, along with sodas, teas, and coffees. It was perfect!

Many of the drinks were served in cans or bottles, which felt very hygienic and convenient.

If you have a late flight, this lounge is an excellent spot to grab a satisfying late-night meal. Overall, I was very impressed with the offerings.

🛋️ Lounge Atmosphere
The interior of the lounge was spotless and pleasantly quiet. The seating was well-spaced, so it never felt cramped, and I appreciated the abundant power outlets and USB charging ports for keeping my phone and laptop powered up.
Plus, having a dedicated, clean restroom within the lounge was a huge convenience!

📸 My Personal Experience
Personally, spending time here was far more comfortable than waiting on the standard airport chairs. With free Wi-Fi and drinks, I was able to organize my travel photos and enjoy a light meal, making the final leg of my trip feel much more relaxed.

For travelers with late-night flights, where airport waiting times can be quite long, utilizing the Chiang Mai Airport Lounge is a game-changer for conserving energy. That was definitely the biggest advantage for me.
The quiet, clean environment with charging stations meant I didn't have to wander around the airport like a nomad, which was a huge relief.

All in all, my experience at the Coral Lounge was so satisfying that I'd definitely consider revisiting. It truly enhanced my departure experience.
I particularly recommend it for families! Parents can relax, and there are snacks and bread for kids, making it a much more suitable place to rest than on hard airport benches.
🎫 Operating Hours
07:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Midnight)
I had heard varying reports about closing times depending on flight schedules, but during my visit, I was informed it closes at midnight. This felt a little early, which was my only minor complaint!

💰 Access & Pricing
There are several ways to gain entry. Many travelers can get complimentary access by checking their credit card benefits first!

I purchased my lounge pass in advance through Klook.
