With intricate carvings extending all the way to its spire, the tower is truly impressive in scale even when viewed from below. Stepping through the tower's arch and onto the bridge, your eyes are immediately drawn to the Baroque statues lining both sides. The bridge itself is such an ancient stone structure that you can feel the texture of the cobblestones underfoot with every step. With so many tourists, a little patience was needed to snag a good spot for photos. Once darkness fully settled, the river cruise boats offering enchanting night tours on the Vltava River became even more prominent. The reflection of their lights, combined with the moonlight shimmering on the water, created a completely different, almost magical atmosphere compared to what I saw during the day.
While the sight of the illuminated cruise boats from the bridge was beautiful, I found myself wishing that on my next visit to Prague, I'd experience the city from the water.
