After a late arrival in Chiang Mai and checking into my hotel, the thought of heading back out for dinner wasn't exactly appealing.
While planning my Chiang Mai trip, I'd seen many rave reviews for a particular local dish, so I decided to give Grab delivery a try. And that dish was none other than Chang Phueak Suki, a renowned local eatery in Chiang Mai.
Even though I enjoyed it via delivery from my room rather than dining in, it was easily one of the most delicious meals I had during my entire trip.
Today, I'll walk you through how to order Chang Phueak Suki using Grab, the menu items and prices I chose, and my honest review of this fantastic delivery experience.

What is Thai Suki?
Thai Suki is a popular dish where meat, seafood, vegetables, and glass noodles are either cooked in a savory broth or stir-fried with a special sauce.
The soup-based version is known as Suki Nam, while the stir-fried, broth-less version is called Suki Haeng.
It's a hearty meal that packs various ingredients into one dish, making it incredibly satisfying. Plus, if you find some Thai dishes a bit too spicy or intense, Suki offers a milder, more approachable flavor profile that’s perfect for many palates.

How to Order Chang Phueak Suki via Grab Delivery
You can easily order Chang Phueak Suki by searching for the restaurant in the Grab app. To ensure a smooth experience as soon as you land in Thailand, I highly recommend installing the Grab app, registering your account, and setting up your preferred payment method beforehand.
① Search for the restaurant in the Grab app
Launch the Grab app and search for "Suki Chang Phueak" or the restaurant's name. If multiple locations appear, check the distance from your hotel, reviews, and menu photos to select the one you prefer.

② Choose your Suki type and main topping
Select your desired Suki type – either the soup-based Suki Nam or the stir-fried Suki Haeng – then pick your main topping, such as pork, chicken, or seafood.

③ Select additional options and requests
Review any available add-ons like extra egg, meat, vegetables, or dipping sauce. You can also specify how you'd like out-of-stock items handled and add any special requests before adding your selection to the cart.

④ Confirm your address and pay
Double-check that your hotel name and address are correct, then select your payment method (card or cash) to place your order. Once confirmed, you can track your order's preparation and delivery status directly in the app.

Chang Phueak Suki Taste Review
The food arrived neatly packaged, with no spills or leaks from the broth or sauce. I was a bit worried that the texture or taste might suffer from being a delivery meal, but it was still wonderfully warm upon arrival, ready to be enjoyed immediately.

A quick stop at a convenience store nearby for a beer and a ham and cheese sandwich completed my perfect late-night feast!

The sauce was perfectly absorbed into the ingredients, and the smoky aroma blended beautifully with the rich umami flavor. Even for a delivery meal, it was incredibly satisfying. The dipping sauce had a pleasant kick of spice, which, when used occasionally, offered a refreshing contrast and cleansed the palate, making each bite feel fresh.

With noodles, vegetables, and meat all together, it was a truly fulfilling meal. This was my first time trying Thai Suki, and I immediately understood why it’s so famous in Chiang Mai. If I ever visit Chiang Mai again, I'd definitely order this dish again – it was that good!

My only minor disappointment was that the branch I ordered from didn't include utensils, so I couldn't enjoy the additional broth I had ordered.

Overall Verdict
If you arrive late in Chiang Mai or simply want a convenient, delicious meal from your hotel, definitely consider ordering Chang Phueak Suki through Grab.
Even without visiting the physical restaurant, I was impressed by both the packaging and the incredible taste of the food. It's truly one of those spots I'd happily reorder from on my next Chiang Mai adventure.
For anyone seeking a fantastic late-night snack or dinner delivery option in Chiang Mai, Chang Phueak Suki comes highly recommended!

Thai Suki comes in two main types: 'Suki Nam,' which has broth, and 'Suki Haeng,' which is stir-fried without broth. Suki Nam is a dish where meat, seafood, vegetables, etc., are cooked in a broth, while Suki Haeng is stir-fried with sauce.
