BMW Driving Center Yeongjongdo: A Toddler's Adventure (2026)
Take your little car enthusiast on an unforgettable adventure to the BMW Driving Center in Yeongjongdo. See exciting cars and enjoy interactive family fun!

Towards the end of September, my husband, our two-year-old son, and I
made a trip to the BMW Driving Center!

With our two-year-old little explorer, who absolutely adores cars,
we happily explored the exhibition hall, watched some thrilling test drives,
and even enjoyed watching cars zoom by from the cozy cafe.
All in all, we spent a wonderful two to three hours there!

For any child who's captivated by cars,
seeing both the exhibition and the moving cars
made for an incredibly engaging time.
The only slight regret was that we arrived a bit close to closing,
so it was a pity we couldn't fully soak in every corner.

That day, the Seomtopia family was given
a special little mission:
To embark on a grand adventure into the vast world of cars,
led by our car-loving two-year-old Captain Explorer!

But this wasn't just any visit;
it held a little something extra special for us.
You see, this was a place
we had visited even before our little one could walk!

Back then, he was content to sit in his stroller,
letting Mom and Dad lead the way.
But this time? He was on a mission, using his own two little feet
to actively seek out and discover the cars himself!

It's amazing how the same place can feel completely new
once your child starts walking!
Before, we were the ones showing him the cars.
This time, however, it was inspiring to watch him actively
seek out and discover each automobile on his own.

Is it a good place to visit with a two-year-old?

Absolutely, it was a fantastic experience for our two-year-old!
Especially for little ones who adore cars,
getting to see actual vehicles in motion was incredibly captivating.
The moment we stepped through the doors,
our child's gaze immediately found the cars, and the excitement was palpable.

Clutching his dad's hand tightly,
he slowly ventured deeper into the exhibition hall.
It was a parade of wonders: past one car, then another.
Next to a sleek black model, there was a vibrant blue one,
and just a little further, another exciting vehicle would emerge!

I carefully admired each sleek vehicle,
while my child's eyes gleamed as he gazed at each car before him, one by one.
And oh, the magic really happened when a real car started moving!
His little feet couldn't keep still!
He bounced with pure joy,
watching intently in that direction for what felt like ages. It was a truly delightful sight!

I didn't need to know the car names,
nor did I need to explain their intricate structures.
Our little one
was simply captivated by watching the cars move.
That was enough to spark plenty of excitement!

So, if you have a two-year-old who loves cars,
just exploring the exhibition hall
can be an adventure in itself.
What did we do at the BMW Driving Center?

We explored the BMW vehicles
and even took a test drive ourselves!

Inside the showroom,
a variety of BMW vehicles were on display.
We really wanted to show our car-loving child
what real cars look like.

The toy cars he played with at home
were quite different from the real cars right before his eyes.
The sizes were different,
the sounds were different,
and even how they moved was different.

Our little one didn't just walk past the cars.
He'd gaze at one,
then walk a little and turn back for another look.
With every tiny step,
a new car would capture his attention.

Even in the MINI section,
he paused for a while.
Instead of rushing through every area that day,
we chose to move
at our child's pace.

When you're with a two-year-old,
we found it much more comfortable to linger
in the spots that truly piqued his interest,
rather than trying to see everything quickly.

Is there a place to relax while admiring the cars?

After exploring the cars,
we could take a break at the cafe,
enjoying some food and coffee.
We sat in the brunch cafe
and watched the track outside the window.

It was a lovely spot where you could enjoy your meal and coffee
while watching the world go by outside.

Even while we were relaxing in the cafe,
cars kept whizzing past on the track.
He'd watch one pass,
and then his eyes would follow
as another car appeared.

For us, it was a moment to unwind,
but for our child, it meant he could continue
watching cars!
So, what did our two-year-old actually love the most?

My child reacted much more strongly to the moving cars
than to the ones just on display.
But during this visit,
there was a different scene
that lingered longer in my heart.

We had actually been here
even before our little one could walk.
Back then, it was a time when they would just follow mom and dad around,
sitting comfortably in their stroller.

This time, it was entirely different.
With their tiny hand holding mine,
they walked confidently, seeking out the cars themselves.

When a car passed by, they would stop and gaze,
and if they spotted a car they really liked,
their whole body would fidget with excitement.
What was our take on Yeongjongdo as a family-friendly destination?

For a child who absolutely adores cars,
it was a perfect fit for our family for a 2-3 hour outing.
It wasn't just about exploring the exhibition hall;
we could also enjoy test drives, watch cars on the track, and relax at a cafe,
all conveniently in one place!

However, there was just one thing we wished was different.
That's because we visited quite close
to closing time.

So, if you're planning a visit with your child,
I'd suggest arriving a bit earlier and giving yourself more time,
rather than coming late like we did.

and we stayed for about 2-3 hours.
What we personally did included exploring the exhibition hall, taking a test drive,
watching cars running on the track,

Island-topia Adventures: The Final Report!

If you have a two-year-old who loves cars,
it was a great place to spend 2-3 hours, watching both the exhibits and the exciting moving cars.

However, if we go again,
I think we'll definitely arrive with more time to spare before closing.
We set out to see amazing cars, but came back discovering our child had grown a whole new inch, right before our eyes.

This adventure to the BMW Driving Center was truly something special.
It's definitely an experience I'll cherish for a long, long time!
