Thai-Style Khao Rad Gaeng (Rice and Side Dishes)
At Baan Baan, you can choose from a delightful variety of Thai home-style side dishes to enjoy with your rice.

In Thailand, this style of eating, where you combine rice with various side dishes, is called Khao Rad Gaeng. To put it simply, it's similar to a Thai-style 'Baekban' (a Korean meal of rice and side dishes), where you pick and choose the dishes you want to eat with your rice.

When I visited, there was a wide array of tempting side dishes prepared, including meats and vegetables, allowing me to see them firsthand and choose exactly what I wanted to eat.

Prices may vary depending on the type and number of side dishes you choose, so please refer to the price list when you visit.

They also sell drinks and packaged food, so it's a great spot to browse around.

My Take on Thai Home Cooking
I simply picked the side dishes I wanted, and a hearty spread of authentic Thai home-cooked food was ready for me!
Even though I didn't know the exact menu names when I ordered,
it was so much fun to choose and try a little bit of everything!

Eating a variety of side dishes like meats and vegetables with rice is fantastic because, instead of just sticking to one menu item,
you get to experience so many different authentic Thai flavors!

What I loved most was the tranquil atmosphere, where I could slowly savor my meal while gazing out at the lush, green landscape.

Unlike the more familiar Thai dishes like Pad Thai or noodle soup, this felt like experiencing a true, local Thai home-cooked meal — making it a truly unforgettable spot!

Picture-Perfect Spots
Once you've finished your meal, don't rush off! Take a moment to explore the surroundings.
Baan Baan also boasts some amazing photo spots, where you can capture beautiful memories against the backdrop of lush greenery.
