Arte House Chiang Mai Review 2026: Aesthetic Boutique Stay
Is Arte House Chiang Mai's ultimate aesthetic stay? Read our honest review of this ultra-exclusive 2-room boutique guesthouse and cafe.
Cozy & Aesthetic Stay in Chiang Mai
Arte House : Arte House
Believe it or not, this is already my third trip to Chiang Mai!
Last time, I only stopped by Arte House as a café,
but it turns out they also run a gorgeous guesthouse!

When I quickly looked it up, the price was around ~$64 a night.
And for that, you get free breakfast, a spacious room, and even access to a terrace!
But most of all, the room interior...
That signature, cozy Chiang Mai aesthetic is just out of this world! *crying tears of joy*
I made a promise to myself: "Next time I come, I'm absolutely staying here."
I guess great minds think alike (especially when it comes to gorgeous aesthetics!).
Getting a booking here was definitely no walk in the park...
And for good reason—there are only two rooms in the entire place!
You really need to book at least a month in advance.

Through sheer determination, I managed to snag a single night's stay.
So, here is my honest, detailed review of booking a night at Chiang Mai's dreamy Arte House,
along with all the pros and cons!
1. How to Book This Chiang Mai Stay
Since booking is the hardest part,
let me share the booking sites first.
When I went, it was only available on Agoda,
but now you can also book it through Yeogi Eottae (a Korean booking app).

But comparing the prices, there's about a ~$13 difference,
so without a doubt, just book through Agoda.
Bookable for ~$64 per night
Go to Agoda Booking Site

Since Chiang Mai has so many ultra-budget-friendly stays,
you might think, "Isn't around ~$64 a night a bit pricey for Chiang Mai?"
and that's fair, but...

Before the café opens to the public in the morning, it feels like you've rented out this super-popular spot all to yourself
to take photos and wander around freely.

Plus, breakfast is included, so you get to enjoy
actual brunch dishes served straight from the café menu!
When you experience this unique Chiang Mai vibe,
it is absolutely worth every penny.
2. Room Types
There are only two rooms
at Chiang Mai's Arte House.
Note that they are strictly for 2 guests; groups of 3 or more cannot be accommodated.
Only bookings for 2 adults are allowed.

The Deluxe Room (with Balcony) is generally more popular.
The main difference is that it's slightly larger at 30m²,

and I think it became famous because of the gorgeous window view
that everyone loves taking photos of.

Since I had no other options on the dates of my trip,
I ended up booking the smaller Deluxe Room with Balcony (25m²),
and I was completely in love with it too!
Actually, my travel dates
were fully booked at first...
...but I kept checking the dates every single day, and a cancellation popped up,
so I snatched it up immediately!

Since they offer free cancellation after booking,
it seems cancellations happen fairly often.
If you have your heart set on staying here,
keeping an eye out for cancellations is a great strategy!

3. Honest Review: The Pros & Cons of Arte House
My experience staying at this cozy, aesthetic Chiang Mai stay
Here is my honest take on the pros and cons of Chiang Mai's Arte House

First, let's start with the cons.
✔️ The slightly awkward location
Even though it's technically in Nimmanhemin,
it's a bit of a distance from the main strip,
making it hard to walk. You'll definitely need to catch a ride.

Also, there's some airplane noise.
To be fair, no matter where you stay in Nimmanhemin,
flight noise is pretty much unavoidable.
If you're a sensitive sleeper, you might want to look into the Old Town area
where the skies are much quieter.

There aren't any convenience stores or marts nearby,
but the host is well aware of this and kindly stocks up the room
with plenty of bottled water.
Seriously, they gave us 8 bottles of water for just a one-night stay!

Despite these minor drawbacks,
it's still a wonderful, dreamy spot to spend a night and soak up the vibes!
It's a super popular spot that's constantly booked out,
so these little trade-offs are definitely worth it.
You can check in on the first floor of the cafe,
and the guest rooms are located on the second floor,
accessible via the stairs connected to the cafe.
The host kindly explained everything to us step by step.
You can truly feel how genuinely warm and kind-hearted they are.

First off, the wooden interior was absolutely my style,
and it was so much fun admiring all the unique furniture pieces.

The bathroom was surprisingly spacious,
and the cleanliness was absolutely top-notch.

I'd recommend bringing your own toiletries,
but otherwise, it's a perfect space for a cozy one-night stay.

There's a door in the middle that opens up to a balcony.
The balcony is incredibly spacious,
and you can look right down into the cozy cafe courtyard below.

It's the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.
Surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of birds chirping,
it felt like an instant healing sanctuary.
This place truly embodies that laid-back, beautiful
Chiang Mai vibe that everyone falls in love with.

I'm definitely not a breakfast person,
but since people come here just to eat their famous breakfast,
I made sure to try it out anyway!
I made sure to catch breakfast right on time.
Before the cafe officially opened, it felt like I had the whole place to myself.
I enjoyed my breakfast, wandered around, and took as many photos as my heart desired!

Personally, I would 100% stay here again.
It offers a completely different vibe from typical hotels,
allowing you to experience the charming, cozy side of Chiang Mai.
Having visited the cafe twice and stayed here once—
making it 3 visits in total, all fully paid out of my own pocket—
I can genuinely recommend this gem from the bottom of my heart.
I hope this helps with your Chiang Mai Arte House booking
and adds some inspiration to your travel plans!
