Is dining at Amiana Resort Cam Ranh's poolside restaurant worth it? We share our honest review of the food, prices, and family-friendly convenience.

When planning a family getaway to Nha Trang, Vietnam, one of the biggest questions on everyone's mind is always about the food.
Since most of the luxury resorts in Cam Ranh are located quite close to the airport and further away from the bustling city center, you'll likely end up spending a significant amount of your time dining on-site.
Because you are staying within the resort grounds, the quality of your meals can truly make or break your entire vacation experience.
I had these exact same concerns when organizing a multi-generational family trip with my in-laws.

For this vacation, we decided to stay at the beautiful Amiana Resort Cam Ranh.
The rooms, stunning swimming pools, and top-tier service were all absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations.
However, our experience at the resort's poolside restaurant during a quick lunch break left us with mixed feelings.

The poolside restaurant is perfectly situated right in the center of the main swimming pool area, making it incredibly easy to grab a bite to eat between swims.
Since they welcome guests in wet swimwear, it is exceptionally convenient for families traveling with young kids or elderly parents who want to minimize walking.

We dropped by around 2:00 PM, and the dining area was pleasantly quiet and uncrowded since we missed the peak lunch rush.
The ability to transition straight from the pool to your dining table is the absolute best feature of this spot.

Our family didn't have to worry about heading back to our rooms to change or dry off, which made our itinerary seamless.
That being said, the food quality didn't quite live up to the premium resort price tag.

A Quick Tip Before You Order
The restaurant offers combo deals that bundle a pizza with a soft drink, or a burger with a cold beer.

However, depending on which pizza you select, ordering à la carte can sometimes be cheaper than the combo. We highly recommend doing a quick price comparison before placing your order!

Honest Pizza Review (Combo: ~$16 USD)
We decided to try the premium options and ordered the Four-Cheese Pizza and the Marinara Pizza.
Our immediate impression was that the quality did not match the price point.
The crust was dry and cracker-like, lacking the soft, chewy texture of freshly baked dough. It tasted more like a reheated frozen pizza than a gourmet resort meal.
The cheese lacked depth of flavor, and the overall toppings felt very basic.

Surprisingly, the simpler Marinara Pizza—which is cheaper when ordered individually—tasted much better than the expensive Four-Cheese option.
The bright, tangy tomato sauce made it much more enjoyable, and our family finished it quickly.
Overall, because the crust was so lackluster, we wouldn't recommend coming here if you are specifically craving high-quality pizza.

Honest Burger Review (Combo: ~$14 USD)
We also ordered the Chicken Burger and the Classic Burger to share.
Compared to the pizza, the burgers were a massive upgrade. The patties were juicy, the buns were soft and fresh, and they hit the spot perfectly after a swim.
While they won't compete with gourmet burger joints, they certainly offered much better value and satisfaction than the pizza.

Our family unanimously preferred the burgers. If we dine here again, we will definitely stick to the burger options.

Note: The burger combo normally comes with a draft beer, but the staff kindly let us swap it for soft drinks!
Another great feature is that they happily package your leftovers. We took our extra slices back to our room, and they made a perfect late-night snack.
The portions are quite generous, which is something to keep in mind if you are traveling with a group.

To sum it up, this isn't a destination you visit for top-tier culinary excellence or incredible value for money.
However, if you want to maximize your pool time and grab a quick, hassle-free bite, it is a very solid option.
It is especially convenient for families traveling with young children or seniors where minimizing walking and changing clothes is a huge plus.

One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was actually A-Mart, the on-site convenience store.

Grabbing cup noodles and quick snacks to enjoy on our balcony or near the pool was much lighter on the wallet and surprisingly satisfying!
Pros
• Incredibly convenient location right by the pool
• Casual dress code (swimsuits allowed)
• Leftover packaging service available
• Burgers are decent and filling
Cons
• Disappointing, cracker-like pizza crust
• High resort pricing for average food quality
📍 Amiana Resort, Cam Ranh
Khu Du Lịch Bắc Bán Đảo Cam Ranh, Nguyễn Tất Thành/Đường Lô D2C, Khu 1, Cam Lâm, Khánh Hòa 57600 Vietnam
Overall, Amiana Resort Cam Ranh is a phenomenal property.
The rooms, pools, and service were outstanding, and we would absolutely return for another family vacation.
While the poolside restaurant offers unmatched convenience, the food quality was a bit underwhelming. On our next visit, we will likely stick to the burgers or opt for quick bites from A-Mart.

Amiana Resort Cam Ranh Review: Pros, Cons, and Family Vacation Guide
Yes, it is located in the center of the main pool, so you can dine right away even in a wet swimsuit. There is no need to change clothes or return to your room, making it highly convenient for families.
We recommend the 360,000 VND hamburger combo more, as the pizza dough has a texture similar to reheated frozen pizza, which can be a bit disappointing. The hamburger combo originally comes with beer, but you can also request to change it to a non-alcoholic beverage.
Depending on the type of pizza, ordering a la carte might be cheaper than the combo menu. Therefore, we highly recommend comparing the a la carte prices with the combo prices before placing your order.
Yes, you can pack your leftovers from the poolside restaurant and take them back to your room. The portions provided are quite generous, so packing the leftovers makes for a great late-night snack.
