Chao Mao 2 Nha Trang Review 2026: Hygienic Seafood & Congee
Traveling to Nha Trang and need a reliable, hygienic spot for delicious seafood? Chao Mao 2, steps from Dam Market, offers a comfortable, air-conditioned escape with a menu perfect for everyone, including soothing congee.
When you're traveling in Nha Trang and someone in your family suddenly feels under the weather, perhaps with an upset stomach or just not feeling quite right, choosing a restaurant becomes a much more careful decision than usual.
Especially in hot climates, it's not just about the food itself, but also the hygiene standards and the indoor environment that become critically important.
We found ourselves in a similar situation, and the place we discovered was Chao Mao 2. It's conveniently located near Dam Market and boasts a spacious, air-conditioned indoor dining area where you can enjoy a variety of seafood dishes, including comforting congee.
If you're on a family trip with parents or children, this is definitely a spot worth considering.

On the third day of our Nha Trang trip, after exploring Dam Market, we were heading to lunch when my mother-in-law mentioned she wasn't feeling well and had an upset stomach.
Other family members weren't feeling their best either, so we quickly searched Google Maps for restaurants serving congee and found Chao Mao 2.

We arrived at Chao Mao 2 right at its opening time, 12:00 PM.
Perhaps because many famous Nha Trang seafood restaurants attract crowds in the evening, the lunch hour offered a more relaxed dining atmosphere.

What we appreciated most was the spacious and clean interior. We were tired from the heat of travel, but the air conditioning was continuously running, making our stay much more pleasant.
Even the family members who weren't feeling well were able to dine comfortably, which was a huge relief.

Chao Mao 2 Nha Trang Seafood Restaurant Menu
The menu at Chao Mao 2, a popular Nha Trang seafood spot, was surprisingly diverse.
Family members feeling well could order regular seafood dishes, while those with sensitive stomachs could opt for congee, allowing everyone to choose a dish that suited their condition and preference.
At our table, for the family members with upset stomachs, we ordered three bowls of congee, including seafood congee and clam congee, along with one bowl of seafood ramen.

The portion of seafood congee we ordered was surprisingly generous.
One bowl of congee was easily enough for 2-3 adults to share.
Rather than being thick like some Korean-style porridges, it had a more liquid, soupy consistency, making it easy to eat even with an upset stomach.

It was seasoned just right with a savory touch, and a distinct peppery flavor came through.
Seeing my mother-in-law, who wasn't feeling well, eat it without any discomfort, I knew we had made a good choice for our meal.

The seafood ramen I chose was packed with plenty of vegetables and seafood.
The broth was refreshing and had a pleasant, mild flavor, but the noodles were quite soft and overcooked.
If you usually prefer firmer, al dente noodles, you might find this a little disappointing.

Family members at other tables ordered general seafood dishes like fried rice and stir-fried clams, and the overall feedback was that they were satisfying and broadly appealing.
The wide range of menu options made it suitable for both family members feeling well and those needing something gentler on their stomachs.
Good to Know Before Your Visit
If you're wondering about reservations or wait times, it's a good idea to check the restaurant's current situation by contacting them via the phone number or messenger listed on Google Maps.
Evenings tend to be busier than lunch, so keep that in mind when planning your visit.
