Recover from your Great Wall hike with our review of Yiruntang, a top-rated local foot massage oasis in Beijing's vibrant Wangjing neighborhood.

Hey everyone!
I'm Nihao Lilyri, your go-to travel blogger for all things Greater China.
Out of all the memories from my recent trip to Beijing,
one of the things that constantly stands out is the foot massage.
Actually, I've always been a huge fan of foot massages,
even more so than full-body ones!
After completing our Great Wall tour, the foot massage we got
was so incredibly refreshing and relaxing
that both my friend and I were absolutely thrilled with it.
Normally, around Wangfujing or other major tourist hubs where most travelers stay, restaurants and massage shops tend to close by 10 PM. But Wangjing was a whole different story.
Since it's a neighborhood where a lot of Korean expats live in Beijing, there are plenty of restaurants and massage places that stay open quite late.
Our tour guide recommended a famous local mutton joint in Wangjing. In fact, many of the people who were on the tour with us went straight there to grab some mutton.
But for me, on that particular day, a massage was way more urgent than mutton.
And that’s how I ended up being recommended Yiruntang.
What you'll find in this post: ✔️ Yiruntang: The Wangjing foot massage spot we found after the Great Wall tour ✔️ Yiruntang pricing and how to use the shop ✔️ Honest review of the 60-minute foot massage ✔️ The life-changing massage that made my friend a believer |
The Wangjing foot massage spot we found after the Great Wall tour
Yiruntang
Yiruntang is located not too far from Wangjing Station.
Our guide didn't just recommend it;
they actually walked us there!
Chatting along the way, we naturally
found out a pretty cool detail.

This place is actually highly popular
among Korean expats and international students
living in Wangjing.
Honestly, when you search for massage shops in a travel destination,
there are so many ads and conflicting reviews that it's hard to make a choice.

But hearing that long-time locals constantly
visit this place instantly got my expectations up!
I also loved the fact that it wasn't a tourist-trap spa,
but a spot used by real locals.
Seeing customers steadily stream in even late at night made me trust it even more.
Yiruntang Prices & How to Use
Since I visited through our guide's introduction,
I was able to get the member discount!
The course I got was
the 60-minute foot massage
for 159 Yuan (CNY)
.

Considering the quality of the massage,
the price was absolutely fantastic.
It made me realize that getting a massage of this caliber
back in Korea would cost way more.
Inside, it was clean and cozy.
Rather than being overly fancy, it had that welcoming neighborhood spa
vibe where locals drop by comfortably.

Most of all, the staff were so kind that even first-time visitors
would feel right at home.
I think this is a truly great option for anyone wanting to
melt away their fatigue on the last day of their trip
or right after a Great Wall tour.
👉🏻 Book Yiruntang Wangjing Foot Massage
If you book from Korea, it is about ~$3 to ~$4
more expensive than the price I got!
Just keep in mind that I received the member discount price!
Honest Review of the 60-Minute Foot Massage
To be completely honest, when it comes to foot massages, I...
I've actually had quite a few massages in my life.
I get them regularly back home, and whenever I travel abroad,
I always make sure to fit at least one spa session into my itinerary.
At Yiyundang,
while you're getting pampered,
you can enjoy snacks, drinks, and even treats like
traditional Chinese cold tossed noodles!
Unfortunately, since I visited after 10 PM,
I could only get light snacks and drinks.

Starting off with a relaxing foot soak
Just dipping my feet in the warm water after a long, tiring day
instantly started melting all my fatigue away.

They also served hot tea during the massage,
which made the whole experience even more deeply relaxing.

Both of our masseuses were veteran therapists who looked like they'd been doing this for decades.
And wow, their hands were absolutely magical.

Instead of just using raw pressure, they knew exactly which pressure points to target.
The soothing areas felt incredible, and they worked out every single knot in my tight muscles.

During that one-hour session, I kept letting out soft sighs of pure bliss...

I immediately understood why the Korean expats living in Wangjing
keep coming back to this spot.
Honestly, out of all the foot massages I've ever had,
this was by far the best.
It's no exaggeration to say
it was the massage of a lifetime.

And the ladies were so lovely and fun to chat with during the session.
They were incredibly cheerful!
When I told them I was from Korea, they asked how I was enjoying Beijing,
and we had the best time swapping stories about all the places I'd visited.
The vibe was so warm and welcoming.
Their skills were top-notch, but their warm hospitality
was the real icing on the cake.
The "Life Massage" That Converted My Skeptical Friend
We also had a pretty funny experience during the massage.
There was a specific spot on my foot
that felt particularly tender.
When I asked why it hurt so much,
she explained that certain spots reflect your body's overall health.
I've always had a pretty weak stomach,
and pointing directly to that zone, she mentioned my digestion might be weak.
Then she asked if I struggled to sleep deeply,
which absolutely blew my mind!
I actually suffer from really poor sleep quality.
Of course, it's not scientifically proven,
but she was so spot-on that it was mind-boggling! 😆

But the funniest part was my friend's reaction.
My friend had almost never gotten a foot massage before.
At first, their face was like, "How different can a foot massage really be?"
completely skeptical.
But once the session wrapped up? A total 180.
They ended up being even more blown away than me,
begging to come back the next time we visit Beijing.
Even hours after we left,
they wouldn't stop raving about it!
Seeing that reaction made me so glad I chose this spot.
If you're wondering where to go after hiking the Great Wall,
or just need to melt away the fatigue from exploring Beijing,
I highly recommend Yiyundang in Wangjing with absolute confidence.
By the way, I looked it up and they also have a branch in Wangfujing!
Since this was right after my Great Wall tour, my phone battery was running super low,
but they kindly brought over a charger for me!
I could plug it in right next to my massage bed,
which let me use my translation app while getting the massage
and relax while scrolling through my photos.

Right next to the checkout counter at Yiyundang,
they had photos introducing all the massage therapists.
My massage therapist was No. 7,
and my friend's was No. 52, just in case you want to request them!
