Where to Have Breakfast? The Outdoor Terrace Ambiance is Simply Breathtaking
Indoor and Outdoor Ambiance

The InterContinental Lijiang's breakfast restaurant is located
on the 1st floor, connected to the lobby.
Operating hours are
daily from 06:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Upon entering, the first thing that catches your eye are drawers resembling those in a traditional herbal medicine shop, and Maotai liquor.

The breakfast restaurant is divided into indoor and outdoor sections.
The indoor area features warm wood tones and Chinese-style tables,
creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere.

During my visit in September, there weren't many guests, so it was quiet, and the staff's service was friendly.

There were two outdoor seating areas,

What was truly amazing was
the breathtaking view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the outdoor terrace.

Breakfast enjoyed with such a view!!
The backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right before your eyes feels like this place's unique charm.
It truly felt like receiving good energy.

Additionally, there was a comfortable-looking space in the inner courtyard,
but it was quite far from the food counters and lacked any particular view,
so hardly any guests used it.
Overall, the breakfast restaurant's peaceful atmosphere
allowed me to start my day on a pleasant note.
Breakfast Restaurant: Local Specialty Menu
Savoring Lijiang's Unique Flavors.

China's culinary culture varies greatly from region to region,
There's a special joy in finding and trying local specialty dishes
at the breakfast restaurant.
Among them, let's take a look at some of the most memorable breakfast items
I encountered.
Yunnan Jianshui Tofu |

Yunnan Jianshui Tofu is a local specialty known for its
unique texture. It's made with pure, deep well water, which gives it a more
savory and chewy bite than regular tofu.

It's typically enjoyed grilled or served with various sauces.
This special dish is available at the Intercontinental Lijiang breakfast.
If you see it, make sure to savor its rich flavor!
Various Tofu Dishes |

Yunnan is renowned for its tofu.
Even at the breakfast restaurant, I was able to discover a wide array of tofu dishes.

This particular dish is one of Yunnan's traditional culinary delights.
It's richer than Korean soy milk,
and you mix it with various toppings and seasonings to your personal taste.

What's more, the familiar grilled tofu we all know and love can be ordered directly,
and it arrives beautifully plated at your table.
Yunnan Rice Noodles |

When you think of Yunnan, rice noodles are an absolute must-try!
At the breakfast restaurant, I got to savor warm, local-style rice noodles.

While it's a different type from 'Crossing the Bridge' noodles (Guoqiao Mixian),
these rice noodles, simmered with vegetables,
and topped with your favorite condiments, were incredibly flavorful and made for a perfect meal.

I especially loved that fried garlic was available as a topping,
a small detail that gave a glimpse into Yunnan's culinary culture, influenced by its proximity to Southeast Asia.
It was a hearty and satisfying option, perfect for a no-fuss breakfast.
Breakfast Restaurant: General Menu
Intercontinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort

While the Intercontinental Lijiang breakfast menu might not have had a massive number of items,
it certainly offered a solid selection of breakfast staples.

With egg and noodle stations, salads, Chinese dishes,
bakery items, and fresh fruit, I think any traveler, no matter where they're from,
would find something to enjoy and feel satisfied.
