Today, I’m back with a story about Yeosu,

a city adventure we took in early September,

making for a perfect autumn getaway.

Among our experiences, we truly enjoyed

the sunset over the evening sea

and fully took in the night fountain show,

so let’s dive into our

bicycle🚲 date diary!

1. Parking and Odonngo Island Bike Rental Shop

📍 Odonngo Public Parking Tower
116 Odonngoro, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do

Since our hotel was a bit far, my husband and I

used the <Odonngo Public Parking Tower>,

which is also known as the Odonngo Cable Car Parking Lot.

The first hour is free, and after that, it's only ~$0 for every 10 minutes,

so you can park with complete peace of mind.

(After parking, let's head to the bike rental shop — Gogossing-!)

Where can you rent a bike?

It's immediately to the left of the Odonngo Public Parking Tower,

or to the right as you exit the parking lot (?), haha!

It's located on the main road, right by the tunnel.

The name of the bike rental shop is

<Dongbaek Bicycle Rental>

And right across from it,

there are free lockers where you can store large bags or items,

so if you need them, be sure to check them out! :)

2. Bike Rental Hours and Fees

At 'Dongbaek Bicycle Rental' in Yeosu Odonngo Island,

rental fees vary slightly depending on the type of bike (single or tandem)

and the duration of your rental.

< Standard Bikes >

1 hour: ~$3

2 hours: ~$6

< Tandem Bikes >

1 hour: ~$7

2 hours: ~$10

You can even borrow a password chain lock

so you can briefly stop and rest at Odonngo Lighthouse or the fountain!

Just be sure to keep that password in mind :D

For us, since we planned to ride the night cable car after our bike date,

we rented bikes for just 1 hour and started our ride.

(FYI) Odonngo Island isn’t that big, so

even renting for just 1 hour is plenty of time

to enjoy your ride, so no worries at all!

3. Yeosu Bike Date

Enjoying the Sunset & Watching the Odonngo Musical Fountain

Riding our bikes all the way to Yeosu Odongdo,

we found there was a dedicated bike path!

So, we could fully enjoy the sea breeze

and just zoom along the coast

to our hearts' content! Hehe.

And now,

since the peak vacation season had passed,

even in Yeosu, known as a tourist city,

it wasn't overly crowded with people.

How long did it take to get to Odongdo? Lol.

We arrived in less than 20 minutes,

so we even had time to catch the fountain show at Odongdo!

Ta-da! We got to see it! :D

Flowing to the rhythm of the lights,

the musical fountain show~! (Woohoo!)

4. What's the best time to enjoy the sunset?

If you're cycling to Yeosu Odongdo,

I think the best time to go

is around sunset.

++ Also, my husband and I wanted to ride the Odongdo cable car at night,

so we made sure to align our bike ride with that time.

It provides all sorts of marine-related information,

so do check it out if you need to :)

Back in early September, we rented our bikes after 6:30 PM,

and the owner told us to take our time and come back by 8 PM.

So, we had a full bike date

during the 7 PM evening slot!

So, we got to nicely enjoy the bright daytime scenery, the sunset, & the night views.
