Shilla Stay Yeosu Review 2026: Standard Twin Ocean View Room

When choosing accommodation in Yeosu, it's often a subtle dilemma:

Price, or room condition?

Many times, you have to sacrifice one for the other.

For this trip to Yeosu, I was looking for a place that offered easy access to tourist spots,

had clean rooms, and even an ocean view.

I ended up booking and staying at Shilla Stay Yeosu with my own money.

In peak season, it's available for around ~$111-~$148,

but on weekdays during the off-season, there are days when prices drop to the ~$52 range,

so it wasn't as expensive as I thought,

Best of all, with a 12 PM checkout,

I didn't have to rush in the morning, which was great - !

Why I Chose Shilla Stay Yeosu: Location

When choosing accommodation, what I looked for most was:

Since I planned to focus on sightseeing around Yeosu,

I didn't want to spend too much money on accommodation,

but I also didn't want a place with unsatisfactory room conditions.

Shilla Stay is a chain hotel,

so I had fewer worries about basic room maintenance.

It's close to Yeosu Expo Station,

making it convenient to visit nearby attractions like Sky Tower, Aqua Planet, and Expo Ocean Park all together.

The location also makes it easy to get to Yi Sun-sin Square or the Romantic Pocha Street.

was cheapest on Agoda.

However, at Shilla Stay, depending on the dates,

the price difference between room types like city view vs. ocean view, standard vs. deluxe, or family rooms

can sometimes be smaller than you might expect.​

In fact, when I checked,

a Family Twin room for 3 adults was also in the ~$59 range,

and Premier rooms were available for around ~$74.

So, rather than simply going for the cheapest room,

I recommend comparing prices for different room types for your specific travel dates before making a choice.

You'll find a GS convenience store on the 1st floor and the lobby on the 6th floor.

So, when you check in, you'll need to head up via elevator!

If you arrive before the official check-in time, you'll find it relatively quiet,

but as check-in approaches, the lobby gets incredibly busy.

It can even fill up the business rooms with guests waiting to check in – that's how popular it is!

That's why they have a check-in queuing system,

so if you find yourself at the hotel earlier for any reason,

I highly recommend registering your spot in line then.

I popped in briefly to register, and thanks to that, I got into my room in no time!

Standard Twin Ocean View Room (29㎡)

The room I had reserved was the Standard Twin Ocean View.

I was assigned Room 1012 on the 10th floor.

✅ Two single beds, a shower stall, and no bathtub (Room size: 29㎡)

Though some platforms list it as 30㎡.

True to its reputation as a brand hotel, everything is impeccably maintained,

making it a fantastic choice, especially when traveling with adults.

Beyond the comfortable beds, you'll find a table, sofa, and chairs,

creating the perfect setup for enjoying some room service or a relaxing cup of tea.

It didn't feel cramped at all for two people,

and there was plenty of space to spread out our luggage comfortably.

Opting for an ocean view room means you get to

wake up to stunning views of the Yeosu sea right from your window!

If you anticipate spending more time relaxing at your accommodation than exploring the sights,

I highly recommend choosing an ocean view over a city view.

The bathroom features a standard layout with a shower stall and toilet.

You'll find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash,

a hairdryer, towels, and bathrobes all provided.

However, for environmental protection, toothbrushes and toothpaste are sold for ~$1,

so it's a good idea to pack your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

From the basic necessities like a closet, refrigerator, coffee maker, and water,

there's even a separate luggage rack provided!

Inside the hotel, you'll also find a gym and a laundry room.

While I didn't personally get to use the gym,

it was equipped with all the basic exercise machines.

The pool — which I visited in the summer season!

Just a heads-up: the swimming pool isn't open during the winter off-season.

If a pool day is high on your agenda, it's a good idea to double-check their operating dates first.

However, perhaps because the off-season is when the pool is closed,

the accommodation fees tend to be lower, which is a fantastic perk if your trip is all about exploring!

My Overall Thoughts on Shilla Stay Yeosu

Having stayed here myself, if your Yeosu trip is all about sightseeing and you're looking for

a spotlessly clean place to rest your head, then this hotel is definitely a great find.

It's super close to Expo Station,

and the room offered plenty of space for two.

The option to have an ocean view was just the cherry on top!

And here's the best part about Shilla Stay:

while you might expect their prices to always be on the higher side,

you might just stumble upon an incredible deal, just like I did!
