First off, Mosageum Beach is incredibly easy to get to. It’s just a 10-minute drive from Yeosu Expo Station, making its accessibility a huge plus.
Yeosu also has a fantastic public transportation system, with taxis readily available and well-connected bus routes. If you time it right, getting around is a breeze.
This means it's a perfect beach for those who prefer to explore without a car. (I always go by public transport myself!)
My second reason for recommending Mosageum Beach is its safety and beauty. The sand on the beach is wonderfully soft, and the water depth doesn’t drop off suddenly, making it ideal for a safe and enjoyable swim.
That’s why it’s also a fantastic beach for families with young children.
I used to think only the East Sea or Jeju Island had truly clear waters, but I was genuinely surprised by how transparent the ocean is at Mosageum Beach.
And here’s a bonus: there are no sharp rocks or shells in the water, so you don't need to bother bringing aqua shoes!

This is like Korea's answer to Bali, right here, folks. (Though I've never actually been to Bali myself!)
Located at the very end of Mosageum Beach, the Sunbed Cafe boasts a prime spot with unobstructed ocean views!
They don't just serve coffee; you can also find a diverse menu of beers, cocktails, pizzas, hamburgers, and more, perfect for enjoying before or after a swim.
Below the cafe, you’ll find an array of parasols and sunbeds spread out, allowing you to order your food and then pick any spot you like.
It’s fantastic for keeping your belongings safe while you swim and for taking a relaxing break in between dips.
I even enjoyed a delicious pizza and beer before heading into the ocean this time!
That combination truly captures the biggest charm of Mosageum Beach and its Sunbed Cafe!
Beyond the outdoor area, the interior atmosphere is also wonderfully inviting. Even if you don't feel like getting in the water, simply sitting inside, gazing at the ocean, and relaxing feels like pure paradise.
Accommodation Recommendation
While there are quite a few pensions near Mosageum Beach, I found that many of them seemed a bit dated when I was researching, which made me hesitate.
After some diligent searching, I discovered a place with excellent facilities and high ratings.
