Recently, my family and I took a fantastic trip to Yeosu, South Korea! If you're looking for an authentic and delicious family travel experience, this vibrant coastal city has so much to offer. We arrived late in the afternoon, well past lunchtime, and our first mission was to dive headfirst into Yeosu's famous culinary scene.

You'll find many of Yeosu's most famous eateries concentrated around the area near Yi Sun-sin Square, making it an ideal starting point for your food tour.
The vicinity of Yi Sun-sin Square is absolutely packed with popular restaurants and street food vendors. On a holiday weekend, you can expect to see long queues forming at places like Gubong Mandu, the famed Yeosu Strawberry Chapssaltteok shop, and Yi Sun-sin Burger. These three highly-rated spots are all visible right from the square itself. If you're on a mission for delicious local eats in Yeosu, make Yi Sun-sin Square your first destination!
Our very first stop after arriving in Yeosu was Bada Gimbap, located conveniently near Yi Sun-sin Square. This isn't your everyday gimbap joint! They offer unique and exciting flavors you won't easily find elsewhere, such as Pollack Roe Omelet Gimbap, Gat Kimchi Gimbap (mustard leaf kimchi), Dried Anglerfish Gimbap, and Japchae Gimbap. It's a true culinary adventure for your taste buds.

This spot was a fantastic choice for dinner, especially with the convenience of a public parking lot right in front. It made our evening much smoother after a long drive.
We truly savored a romantic evening meal here, soaking in the charming Yeosu atmosphere. What truly impressed us was their thoughtful touch – they even had gifts for the kids! Though it's a little removed from the main Romantic Pocha Street, the easy parking and nearby playground were huge bonuses for our family. It’s definitely a spot that understands family needs.
No trip to Yeosu is complete without a visit to the iconic Romantic Pocha Street. It’s one of those places that simply speaks for itself, offering an ambiance and experience you won't want to miss!
