Let me share a review of Kurumi's menu and our dining experience 😉

2. The Menu

We opted for the Extreme Course, which is 8,000 yen per person.
This course included not only the meat but also side dishes and dessert,
a total of 14 different dishes.
We briefly considered trying Kobe beef while we were there,
but decided to save that for our day trip to Kobe.
So, at Osaka's renowned Kurumi, we went for the Extreme Course instead 😎

The course also included an all-you-can-drink option,
so while enjoying our yakiniku, we ordered various drinks like beer, oolong tea, and highballs.
It was the perfect accompaniment.
3. Our Kurumi Yakiniku Experience

We ordered drinks to our individual tastes,
and while we chatted, the dishes started arriving one by one.

First came kimchi, assorted namul (seasoned vegetables), salad, and stewed beef.
The stewed beef was savory yet incredibly tender,
making it the perfect appetizer before the main feast!
The other dishes were perfect side accompaniments,
so we enjoyed them alongside our yakiniku, of course! 😉

The lightly seared sirloin yukhoe (beef tartare) and wagyu aburi (flame-seared) sushi
were prepared right at our table by a staff member using a torch.
It was fun to watch them getting perfectly seared,
and unlike the fresh, raw yukhoe we usually enjoy in Korea,
these offered a wonderfully soft and savory experience.
It was a fresh and exciting way to enjoy yukhoe!

Then, the yakiniku truly began to arrive,
and the first to grace our grill was the Special Salted Beef Tongue.
Befitting its 'special' designation, it had the perfect thickness,
offering a delightful chewiness while still being incredibly tender.
The savory aroma filled my mouth, making it absolutely delicious.

Next up was the Harami,
which was wonderfully thick and satisfying to chew,
and its rich, savory meat flavor truly burst forth.
My palate was completely enveloped in its deliciousness.
I usually rank beef tongue as my favorite yakiniku cut,
but this time, the Harami stole the show!

The Special Sirloin (Roast) and Special Ribs arrived together on one platter,
and I took my time grilling and savoring each cut individually.
The Special Sirloin was wonderfully tender and lean,
developing a rich, savory flavor with every bite.
The Special Ribs, with their perfect marbling,
were incredibly juicy and delicious when grilled.

Pairing these delectable meats with kimchi, namul (seasoned vegetables), and salad meant
I could keep eating without ever feeling bored! Haha.

For the grand finale of yakiniku, the Horumon (offal) was served.
It wasn't tough or gamey at all;
instead, it had a delightful bouncy and chewy texture,
making me want to order another beer immediately!
And with unlimited drinks available throughout the meal,
I kept my glass full without a moment's hesitation! lol.

For the final dessert, we were treated to warm Gomguk (beef bone soup) and
sweet ice cream.
It was a fantastic way to cleanse both my palate and my stomach
after such a rich meal!

From the appetizers, yukhoe, sushi, and yakiniku, all the way to dessert,
I ate each course one by one and suddenly realized I was completely stuffed.
The variety of tastes and textures from each cut kept things exciting right until the very end,
ensuring I never got tired of the flavors.
Plus, with unlimited beer and drinks, it truly felt like I got to properly indulge in yakiniku after a long time.
Make sure to save Shinsaibashi Kurumi for your next foodie adventure!
