Xpark Aquarium Taipei Ticket Prices 2026: Discounts & Review

When I visited Taipei in mid-April, the weather was so scorching and humid that I scrapped my original outdoor plans and headed straight for Xpark Aquarium instead 🥵

If April was that hot, I can only imagine how sweltering it'll be for those planning trips in July and August...

It's always a good idea to have an indoor attraction as a backup plan for when the weather is too hot or rainy. So, I've put together a quick review of my visit to Xpark Aquarium, along with a price comparison and details on discount coupons!

but booking online is about ~$6 cheaper and you avoid the wait. Same-day booking is also available!

I saw Klook advertising a summer promotion with a 20% discount, bringing the price down to ~$12, so I compared prices.

But when I tried to pay, it said the promotion was over 😠 What's the point of comparing prices then, right?

2. Taipei Weather in July & August, Recommended Indoor Attractions

When I went in mid-April, it was already so hot that I gave up all my outdoor plans. Taipei's weather in July and August is said to be even more intense!

Taiwan is known for its frequent rain and humidity, and July and August also coincide with typhoon season. The weather can change multiple times a day, so I highly recommend having some indoor attractions planned beforehand!

On my last day, before flying home, I originally planned to visit Tamsui, but it was too hot, so I gave up. Instead, I decided to explore near Taoyuan Airport. That's how I found Xpark Aquarium, an excellent indoor attraction!

📌How to Get to Xpark Aquarium

From Taipei Main Station, the city center, a High-Speed Rail (HSR) ride to Taoyuan Station takes about 20 minutes. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk towards Gloria Outlets. All in all, the journey takes around 40 minutes!

Since it's near Taoyuan Airport,

it's perfect for a first or last-day itinerary, combining

[Gloria Outlets shopping + Xpark Aquarium] for a full day.

Sun-Fri: 10 AM - 6 PM, Sat/Holidays: 10 AM - 8 PM

Last admission is one hour before closing. The aquarium isn't massive, so I found about 2 hours was plenty of time to see everything.

The media art installations throughout are incredibly well done, especially in the jellyfish zone. It was so dreamlike and beautiful that I took the most photos there.

And encountering a pet goat while exploring the aquarium was quite a shock!

If you get hungry, Xcafe offers unique items like Jellyfish Soda and Capybara Pancakes. However, like most aquarium cafes, it's not the most budget-friendly option.

If you're visiting with kids, it's a decent spot to pass the time while waiting for a show!

In the penguin zone, you can even touch different types of penguin fur, and catch a sea lion show during scheduled times.

The opening act was a bird show. The host was talking, and a child raised their hand, and suddenly a hawk flew right over! If you love that kind of interaction, make sure to raise your hand high!

The subsequent sea lion show was short but fun and fascinating. Time really flew by! Xpark is a great indoor attraction in Taipei, whether you're visiting with kids or as adults 😎

Xpark Aquarium's prices are reasonable, and its location near Taoyuan Airport makes for convenient travel. It's a comfortable and enjoyable place to explore, making it truly a recommended spot for Taipei's July and August weather, which can be hot, humid, and rainy.

One tip: I visited on a weekday, so there weren't many people. It seems they limit the number of visitors per time slot, so if you're planning a weekend visit, it's safer to book in advance!
