5 Best Wulai Hot Spring Hotels in Taiwan (2026)
Looking for a peaceful hot spring getaway near Taipei? Explore our top 5 Wulai hot spring hotels, featuring private tubs and easy access to local gems.
Quick answer
- Wulai offers quiet, clear-water hot springs, a less crowded alternative to Beitou.
- Reach Wulai by taking bus 849 from Xindian Station; ideal for 3+ night Taiwan trips.
- Volando Urai (adults-only) has private tubs, includes meals, starting ~$378 per night.
- Spring Spa Hotel offers private tubs and public hot springs, starting ~$106 per night.
- Longmen Homestay features in-room hot springs with breakfast delivery, from ~$60 off-peak.

When you search for hot spring destinations in Taiwan,
Beitou often comes up first.
Wulai is a bit less frequented by travelers.
That's because the journey there can be a bit more involved.
But in return, it's peaceful, and the clear waters make for an absolutely wonderful hot spring experience.

You can reach Wulai by taking the 849 bus from Xindian Station,
and if you have a Taiwan trip planned for 3 nights or more, it's definitely worth dedicating a day to it.

In-room private hot spring baths, price range per night, and accessibility to the Old Street
Based on these three key factors, I've curated a list of five fantastic spots.

During weekends and peak season, private hot spring bath rooms tend to be the first to sell out.
Even when I visited, I found that other places were either fully booked or only had public baths available... sigh.
If you have a bit of flexibility with your travel dates,
it's best to check available rooms first.
