After a wonderful time in Kyoto,
I've made my way to Osaka!
For my 3-night, 4-day Osaka adventure,
I'm thrilled to share an absolutely amazing value-for-money accommodation with you!
It's none other than 'Wellina Hotel Premier
Nakanoshima West'.
You might notice there's also an 'East' branch with a very similar name.
(They're right next to each other, so I totally got them mixed up, haha!)
While the East branch might be slightly cheaper,
it's also a bit older.
If the price difference isn't significant,
I highly recommend booking the 'West' branch for its much cleaner and more comfortable room conditions!

My husband and I usually prefer to
mostly just sleep at our accommodation,
so we always look for places that don't exceed ~$69 per night!
But get this – for around ~$62 a night,
you get a 4-star hotel, a public bath, AND even a Lawson convenience store right there!
I truly hit the jackpot with this incredible value-for-money find! 👏
🚇 Location & Local Vibe
With Higobashi Station on the Yotsubashi Line just a 5-minute walk away,
getting to Namba or Umeda for some epic shopping was an absolute breeze!
What's more, being close to Nakanoshima means
there are art museums around,
If you prefer a calm, leisurely Japanese neighborhood vibe over the bustling chaos of a busy city center,
then this area is absolutely perfect for you!
🧳 Standard Twin Room Condition
The room size? It's exactly what you'd expect from a typical Japanese business hotel!
But even so, we could easily open one large suitcase flat,
and partially close another,
without any inconvenience to our daily movements.
The mini-fridge was compact, but it came with two complimentary bottles of water.
Just a heads-up, the freezer compartment isn't very strong!
What I liked most of all was
the fact that it was completely odor-free!
Among Japanese accommodations, where windows don't open,
you often find places that can get a bit stuffy or musty, don't you?😭
Here, you could open the windows,
full ventilation was possible, and it was so pleasant,
I had a wonderful stay for all 3 nights.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash,
toothbrush, toothpaste, and more are all thoughtfully provided.
♨️ 14th Floor Public Bath: Insider Tips & Review
The room's bathroom is a bit small,
so you might feel a little cramped when showering!
We made excellent use of the 14th-floor public bath.
✅Key Card Tip!
Upon check-in, they give you a pink (for women's bath)
and a sky-blue (for men's bath) key!
Just remember to take your respective key when heading up to the public bath.
✅Women's & Men's Public Baths
They say the men's bath has three types: a cold bath, an open-air bath, and a hot bath,
but the women's bath only had one hot bath? Lol
It was a slightly bittersweet point, but the water was clean and
it was still wonderful!
As photography is not allowed in the public baths,
I've substituted with photos from Agoda!
The left picture shows the men's bath, and the right shows the women's bath!
✅Spacious Lounge Area on the Public Bath Floor
There's a lounge area, vending machines, and a large TV,
so it was perfect for waiting for each other after bathing
or just relaxing comfortably!👍
There are also many great restaurants nearby
(I'll tell you all about a super delicious yakitori spot in the next post! 😋)
And a large supermarket is also close by,
so I don't think there was any accommodation with better value for money
during my Osaka trip.
