P.S. I'll also share a tip below on how to book it at a great price, so keep reading!

When you're traveling solo as a woman, choosing the right accommodation can definitely be a big decision, right?
I definitely considered a lot of factors during my recent solo trip to Osaka. After much thought, I decided to book 'Wellina Hotel Dotonbori.'
Here's why I chose Wellina Hotel Dotonbori:

📍Why I Chose Wellina Hotel Dotonbori
1. Excellent Airport Accessibility
2. Just a 2-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nippombashi Subway Station
3. Dotonbori is only a 5-minute walk away
4. Safe and Secure Location
5. Incredible Value for Money

First, let me explain my reasons for choosing Wellina Hotel by referencing the map above.
To start, Wellina Hotel boasts fantastic accessibility from Kansai Airport.

If you take the Rapi:t train, you can reach the hotel in about 10 minutes on foot from Nankai Namba Station.
What's more, I used the innn pickup and drop-off service with my Kansai Joy Pass this time, and it got me to the hotel in a super convenient 2-3 minutes on foot!

Next, as you can see from the map, Wellina Hotel is centrally located amidst various popular attractions, offering outstanding accessibility.
Dotonbori is just a 5-minute walk away, making sightseeing, river cruises, and Don Quijote shopping incredibly convenient!

Plus, exploring other spots like Umeda, Osaka Castle, Shinsekai, and Harukas 300 Observatory is a breeze, as they're all reachable within about 30 minutes by subway – perfect for planning your itinerary!

Even better, the closest station, Kintetsu-Nippombashi Subway Station, is just a 2-minute walk away, making getting around super easy.

And for solo female travelers, safety is always a top priority, right? Since it's located right near Dotonbori...
Even late at night, there were many people around, so
I felt quite safe!

Lastly, when you're traveling solo, price is also
super important, right?
Wellina Hotel checks all these boxes, and what's more,
it's incredibly reasonably priced.
While prices might vary depending on the season, you can usually
book a room for around ~$35 on weekdays for a solo traveler.

It's already an amazing value-for-money accommodation, but
if you want to save even more on your solo trip,
you'll want to know how to book it at the lowest price, right?
Next up, I'll share my top tips for booking the Wellina Hotel
at a great price!
What are the best tips for booking cheap?

When booking accommodation in Osaka,
it's a good idea to compare different booking agencies.
Usually, for Osaka accommodations, Agoda tends to be the most
affordable option.
Based on weekday rates in September | Agoda |
Economy Twin Room (for 1 person) | ~$30 |
Economy Twin Room (for 2 people) | ~$42 |
Now, let me share my review of Wellina Hotel Dotonbori
as a solo female traveler!
Check-in

The check-in and check-out times at Wellina Hotel are
as follows:
Check-in: 3 PM, Check-out: 10 AM
I arrived before check-in time, so I
left my luggage in advance and then checked in right at 3 PM.
The staff could speak English, which made
the check-in process smooth and easy!

On the first floor, the lobby has comfy sofas where you can relax,
a breakfast restaurant, a drink vending machine, a washing machine, and public restrooms.

Having a drink vending machine inside the hotel was especially
convenient for grabbing a drink late at night!
Standard Twin Room

I booked a Standard Twin Room for myself and
was assigned room 407.
The elevator system requires scanning your room key to go up,
which means outsiders can't enter, making it feel extra safe for solo stays.

Even though I booked for one person, I was given a room with two single beds,
which was great as it gave me plenty of space to spread out.
Plus, for Osaka accommodation, it was quite spacious, so
I had no trouble at all opening up my suitcase and settling in!

What's more, the bed was incredibly plush,
allowing me to enjoy a deep sleep and melt away all my fatigue!
Summer in Osaka is known for its heat,
but the air conditioning was powerful, making it so comfortable
to get a good night's sleep.

The room features two single beds, a desk, a full-length mirror,
a bathroom, and a wall-mounted hanger.
The full-length mirror, perfect for checking your OOTD (Outfit Of The Day),
was conveniently located near the entrance.

Plus, having a separate table and chairs was so convenient
for late-night snacks or putting on makeup.

Amenities include two bottles of mineral water, mugs, a coffee pot,
and a hairdryer, among other things.
It's especially nice because, these days, fewer and fewer hotels provide complimentary bottled water,
so having it here was a real bonus!

You'll also find slippers and a safe between the beds,
so feel free to use them comfortably.

To the right of the room entrance, you'll find the bathroom.
Inside, there's a bathtub, a sink, and more.

Whenever I travel to Japan, where I walk tens of thousands of steps daily,
I always make sure to book a hotel with a bathtub
so I can enjoy a relaxing half-body bath every night.
Having a reasonably spacious bathtub was fantastic, as I could soak in hot water
and wash away all the day's fatigue.

Bathroom amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body wash,
a toothbrush set, a comb, a shower towel, and a razor.
This meant I only needed to bring my cleansing products from Korea,
which was great for keeping my luggage light!

Finally, Room 407, where I stayed,
offered a view of the building across the street, so it wasn't a spectacular view.
However, since I hadn't booked this accommodation for its view,
I thought it was perfectly fine!

Today, I introduced Wellina Hotel Dotonbori, an excellent choice for solo female travelers
when visiting Osaka.
It boasts excellent accessibility to major attractions like the airport and Dotonbori,
and what's more, the price point is so reasonable, even for solo travelers,
that you can book it without any hesitation.
The room itself was spacious, and the beds were so comfortable,
making my entire Osaka trip truly satisfying.
While I stayed alone,
the spacious room and excellent location make it a highly recommended place
for couples or two travelers as well.
So go ahead and book your stay below,
and I wish you a wonderful trip!
