Huaxia City is an absolute must-visit destination!
Shenyou Ocean World (also known as Xinyou Ocean World) is
an indoor aquarium nestled right within Huaxia City.
With four unique themed floors, there's so much to explore and discover!

as a renowned, expansive theme park. It's a massive 5A-rated tourist destination
themed around classic Eastern culture.

Please note that a dedicated ticket for Xinyou Ocean World alone
does not grant you free access to the Huaxia Ecological Museum or the entire main Huaxia City complex.

3. Shenyou Ocean World Visit Review + (Shows)
1st Floor: Entrance Main Hall & Tropical & Marine Life Exhibition Hall
2nd Floor: Coral & Rare Fish Hall & Physical/Interactive Zone
3rd Floor: Polar Theme Hall & Grand Show Theater (Ocean Theater)
4th Floor: Children's Rest Zone & Indoor Kids'/Experience Area
It's structured across these four floors.
I entered the Shenyou Aquarium,
and it was so grand right from the entrance, perfect for taking photos.
There were so many amazing fish.
I even saw tiny, fluorescent fish.
I had expected Shenyou Ocean World to be small,
but it's actually quite extensive, with everything from a pirate ship
to charming sculptures arranged throughout.
Being in China, I wondered if everything would only be in Chinese.
But to my pleasant surprise, the signboards were also in Korean,
making it very convenient to navigate and enjoy.
There's even a snack bar in the middle, selling treats,
so families with kids were able to grab a bite
and take a relaxing break while enjoying their food.
I found the jellyfish particularly beautiful.
I had no idea there were so many different types of jellyfish!
Other visitors were frequently taking photos with the jellyfish,
so I decided to join in and take some too.
Walking through the underwater tunnel felt just like being deep inside the ocean,
with stingrays and a variety of other fish
swimming actively all around.
To make sure I caught the Mermaid Show at 2 PM as well,
I first checked its location and headed over.
(For some reason, when I visited, it wasn't held on the first floor
but rather near the snack bar on the second floor.)
I was truly amazed by a giant fish I'd never encountered before.
It was as massive as an ancient deep-sea creature!
The penguins were definitely the biggest hit with the kids!
I noticed a crowd gathering, so I went to check them out too.
It was incredibly cute – it felt like they recognized people! When I approached the tank,
one came right up to me and peered out, which was just adorable.
And it wasn't just one shark – there were several gathered together,
creating a totally different and more dynamic viewing experience!
(So many people were taking photos, I just had to snap one too!)
Each themed area is incredibly well-decorated, don't you think? Even though it's artificial,
am I the only one who felt a distinct coolness in the air?
On my way to the Happy Ocean Theater,
I encountered adorable seals and even sea lions – of course, I had to stop and admire them!

To snag your preferred seats, you'll want to arrive a good
5-10 minutes before the show begins. I noticed many people were already settled in early!
Right before the show, staff held up a sign announcing a special photo opportunity
with the dolphins! (Photo prices were 50 yuan for dolphins and 100 yuan for belugas)
You simply have to check out the video for a glimpse of the show~!
Aren't they incredibly well-trained?
I've only uploaded a small snippet of the performance!
But trust me, there were so many more diverse and amazing shows!
The show lasts about 20 minutes,
and once it ends, prepare to be guided straight through the souvenir shop!
There's so much to see, it's enough to make any child's eyes widen in absolute wonder.
However, if you've just enjoyed the 1 PM show,
you'll need to head straight over to catch the 2 PM Mermaid Show!
I was patiently waiting on the first floor where the Mermaid Show usually takes place,
when a staff member informed me it was actually being held on the second floor!
I quickly made my way there to try and snag a good spot.
The seating area on the second floor, being in front of the snack bar, was a bit cramped.
Still, even from a bit further back, the view was perfectly clear and enjoyable.
The show itself lasted around 10 to 15 minutes.

I really wanted to catch the last show, the Dynamic Cinema,
but my schedule was just too packed, and I sadly missed it.
I highly recommend you all plan your itineraries carefully to make sure you don't miss a thing!

An adult single ticket purchased on-site costs 160 RMB. If you book Xinyu Ocean World online tickets, you can purchase them for approximately ~$3 less for two adults.
