<Weihai Tianmu Spa Resort, China>
Today, I'm excited to share my breakfast experience while staying at the Weihai Tianmu Spa Resort in China!
Typically, bookings at Tianmu Spa Resort include the hot springs, your stay, and breakfast in one package. I found the breakfast spread to be quite satisfying for a morning meal.
The Tianmu Spa area is quite expansive, so there's a bit of a distance between the guest rooms and the restaurant. While buggy carts are available, the walk is only about 10 minutes, which I found perfect for a refreshing morning stroll.

The Weihai Tianmu Spa Resort operates just one main restaurant for its guests.
Remember to bring your room key for entry – it's essential!
The restaurant serves as a dining spot for lunch and dinner, but in the mornings, it transforms into a buffet-style breakfast area.
Befitting a 5-star establishment, the restaurant interior is quite grand and exudes a luxurious ambiance ♪(´▽`)
Just a quick note: the breakfast hours at Weihai Tianmu Spa Resort are from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, but it's always a good idea to double-check the exact times at the front desk upon arrival 😉

Honestly, there were a lot of Chinese-style dishes, and some had quite strong spices. If you're sensitive to strong flavors, I'd recommend sticking to other options!
I also encountered some ingredients I wasn't familiar with, so I decided to play it safe and stick to what I knew to avoid any culinary surprises 😂
That said, familiar dishes like fried rice and stir-fried green peppers were available and tasted quite similar to what you'd find in a typical hotel breakfast back home, which was perfectly fine.

The sausages tasted as expected and were good, but the ham underneath had a strong, slightly sour and tangy spice that I'd recommend skipping.
There were also fried items like chicken and spring rolls, but they weren't hot and crispy.
Frankly, fried food can be a bit heavy for breakfast anyway, so I only had one or two, and they quickly became tiresome.
Overall, I didn't particularly enjoy the specific Chinese main dishes, but the familiar fried rice and similar options were decent.

My comfort zone was definitely the American-style options!🤤
There were about 3-4 types of bread, so you could choose according to your preference. There was also a toaster, so I enjoyed toasting my bread and spreading strawberry jam on it.
You could also make your own salad, which was a great light option for breakfast (≧∇≦)ノ

For desserts, there were fruits and mini cakes, but I didn't find the cakes particularly delicious.
When I diligently searched for reviews beforehand, many mentioned that the breakfast wasn't exceptionally tasty, and I have to agree, haha!
However, for a simple and filling morning meal, the toast, salad, and cereal options were great 😆

There was also a dedicated beverage station with coffee, tea, milk, and juice. I brewed a warm cup of coffee, which complemented the breakfast well!

From Chinese and Asian to American-style, <Weihai Tianmu Spa Resort> offered all the basic breakfast options.
Rather than an extravagant 5-star hotel buffet, it felt more like a place to grab a simple yet hearty breakfast. So, it's best to go with that expectation!
While I wouldn't say it was incredibly delicious, there was a good variety of items, and enough familiar options to suit a Western palate. I was glad to fill up before heading out.👍
Keep in mind that about 30 minutes before closing, items might not be refilled, and staff might start cleaning up. For a relaxed meal, I recommend arriving around 8:00 AM.
