The hot springs are open from 09:00 to 22:00,
and last admission is at 21:30.
The Wendeng area, where Tianmu Hot Spring is located, is historically famous. It's said that Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, visited these very hot springs in search of eternal youth!
Boasting over 60 themed indoor and outdoor open-air baths and swimming pools, the scale of this place is absolutely mind-blowing.
2. Hot Spring Pass vs. Stay Package: Price Comparison

We booked a stay package, but I've put together a price comparison for those of you who might only want to visit the hot springs for the day.
A day pass for two adults costs about ~$22.
Meanwhile, the resort's most affordable room starts at just ~$46.
The difference is only about ~$19 to ~$26!
Since the room rate already includes hot spring access for two and a breakfast buffet, booking a room package is definitely the smarter, more economical choice if you're planning to stay overnight.
Option | Price | Link |
Hot Spring Day Pass (1 Adult, Single Entry) | ~$11 | 🔗[Check Price] |
Resort Lowest-priced Room (Includes 2-person Hot Spring & Breakfast, Double Entry) | ~$46 ~ ~$60 (Varies by date) | 🔗[Check Price] |
Please note: While a single day pass allows only one entry, booking a room gives you two entries to the hot springs!
Room prices can fluctuate depending on your travel dates, so I highly recommend checking the latest rates before you book.
3. Evening Hot Spring Review

After having dinner at the resort, we headed out around 8:00 PM to enjoy some night soaking. If you walk straight up to the right from the resort lobby, you'll find the entrance to the hot springs.

As soon as you walk in, you get a sense of just how massive the facility is. It's so sprawling that you'll need plenty of time if you want to explore every single corner!

No swimsuit? No problem! They sell them right at the convenience shop inside. They even have swim rings for kids, making it a super family-friendly spot.

There's also a spa and massage shop inside the complex, so you can really pamper yourself and make the most of your 2-day getaway.

Just show your room key or give your room number to the staff at the desk to receive your hot spring wristband key. Tap the key at the turnstile, and you're in!

The men's locker room was incredibly clean and tidy. The staff was super friendly, guiding us through the process. Plus, they provide fresh towels for both soaking and showering free of charge whenever you need them.

In the men's locker room, they provide everything from slippers and hair dryers to shower amenities, so you can literally just show up empty-handed! Most of the signs also had Korean translations, which made navigating the area super convenient.

Once you step out of the locker room, you'll be directed toward the hot springs and the indoor pool. Since I came specifically for the night hot spring experience, I'll just share some quick photos of the pool area and move right along!

Right next to the indoor pool, there's an indoor hot spring, as well as a snack shop selling swim rings, snacks, and drinks.

Unfortunately, the indoor pool was under construction during my visit, but it's scheduled to be back in service starting in July. (Note: wearing a swim cap is mandatory if you plan to use the pool!)

When I headed out to the outdoor hot springs around 8:30 PM, the outdoor pool area was closed off, and only about 10 of the outdoor baths were running. Still, there was plenty of variety to fully enjoy the experience.

As soon as I entered, the staff offered me some warm tea. Sipping on barley tea and ginger tea instantly made my entire body melt into relaxation.

The night atmosphere at the hot springs is absolutely incredible. The bath names were also written in Korean, making them easy to identify. The water temperature was a perfect 39 to 41°C (around 102–106°F).

Soaking at night is seriously charming. The area is surrounded by lush greenery, and the pools are spaced apart rather than packed together, giving it a very private, cozy feel.

Whenever a pool was occupied, I simply moved on to another one. Because the temperatures varied so much, sometimes I would just sit on the edge and dip my feet in.

With so many pools scattered around, you almost never see crowds of people squeezed into a single bath.

These aren't just ordinary hot spring pools, either; the artistic sculptures and warm, ambient lighting take the atmosphere to a whole new level.
I think this is exactly where the magic of a night soak lies. You can quietly enjoy the hot springs while listening to the soothing sounds of trickling water and the gentle breeze.

There are also plenty of relaxation areas, including two jjimjilbangs (traditional saunas) that you can still access at night.

The only downside was that some facilities had limited access during the night hours. It definitely made me want to come back earlier in the afternoon next time to fully take it all in!

4. Morning Hot Spring Experience

After having breakfast, I headed back to the hot springs at 9:00 AM. If you've booked a room at Tianmu Hot Spring Resort, your hot spring ticket actually grants you two entries per person!

The vibe of the hot springs at night is completely different from the morning. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast and heading right back to the hot springs—it's the perfect way to melt away any leftover fatigue before checking out.

The staff served hot tea in the morning too. This time it was oolong tea—so nutty, smooth, and incredibly refreshing!

I took some time to explore the outdoor hot spring pools I missed yesterday, and they had a completely different charm. The misty, serene atmosphere made me feel like an ancient immortal wandering in a mystical land.

Surrounded by lush trees, these pools were tucked further away than the ones open at night, offering a much more private experience. It was the perfect spot to just slow down, breathe, and unwind.

If you venture a bit deeper, you'll find the outdoor swimming pool, which has a gorgeous infinity pool vibe. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a swim cap, so I couldn't dive in.
Between swimming, soaking in the hot springs, and getting a relaxing massage, you could easily spend an entire, jam-packed day of pampering here at Tianmu Hot Spring Resort.
5. Getting There & Foodie Tips

Tianmu Hot Spring Resort is super accessible, located just 20 to 30 minutes away from Weihai Airport. While many travelers save this spot for the very end of their trip before heading to the airport, I chose to make it my very first stop. Starting my trip completely relaxed was a total game-changer!
One thing to note is that there are no refrigerators in the rooms, so keeping your drinks chilled can be a bit tricky. Also, there are absolutely no restaurants or convenience stores within walking distance of the resort.
While they do have vending machines on-site, the selection is limited. I highly recommend stocking up on late-night snacks and goodies before you check in!
